Emachines pc help plz

Hi,
I've had my emachines pc for over a year and a half now. And lately it has been turning off on me by itself. Like when I'm using the pc, all of a sudden the computer will just turn itself off. Like the image will just go back and be turned off. I've tried a variety of things, like searching for viruses and I even tried using the recovery tool. But now that I used the recovery, not only did it not stop the pc from turning itself off, but now the pc won't let me download msn live messenger, and it wont let me do a series of things. I need help. PLEASE. Could you help me?

I have a 2 year old emachine that will no longer stay on. It was turning off by itself and slowly got worse and worse until it won't stay on at all. Any ideas? Virus?

Not likely.
Sounds more like an overheating problem.
I'll suggest to clean all the fans from dust and lint.
You may also need to apply a fresh heat release compound on the processor.
You may need professional help for this, but this will solve your problem.

I updated BIOs and now every thing is gone.

Okay, sounds like your BIOS upgrade went south. First off, re-install the original BIOS. Usually you back up the original before upgrading. Either that, or d/l the original BIOS from emachines.com. Once you've got the BIOS working, try starting the system. I'll need to know more to help you from there.

Hi dallasblue08,

Here's a diagram of what your looking for:

The following eMachine models share the same motherboard (and thus the same front panel layout):

Hi i need drivers for emachines 390 plz help me thanks

I could not find the 390 model specifically, it seems there is possibly more to the model information that is needed. However, you can go to the emachines website and dowload drivers if you have the full model information and internet access.

Hope this helps.
