The spin cycle is not working correctly. It leaves the clothes soaked. I put it on spin cycle and listened. The pump kicks on and the drum spins slowly one way then another, but not really fast like it normally does. What could be my problem?

Check and choose a longer spin cycle and see if the fault changes. If so the SPIN cycle is too less or there is less action or speed in the cycle, check the motor speed, check the capacitor to the motor, the spindle friction - if so reset the spindle and drive.
In order to fix this, you will need to take off the outer panels and check the motor inside and the clutch, most likely the clutch is worn down and will need to be replaced, I have posted a picture of what it should look like.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need further help, most likely replacing the clutch will solve your problem.
Ok, replaced waste pump - slight improvement but clothes still bad... only just seen your solution Mike!!! I didn't even notice a spin control board there, I will check/swap it tomorrow as I've only just put everything back in place(incl. kitchen cupboards etc!). Is this a common problem with this model?? There's a mountain of appliances near where I work and I'm free to take whatever I can find, I'd say some people just buy a new machine without even checking if the filter's blocked looking at some of these appliances! Thanks all!
with a lot of the machines now they wont go into spin mode if the drum is not balanced properly, like say you had a load of towels in their, well it wont spin as its to unstable to spin without wobbling around so it simply stops at the spin cycle and does nothing, you can try this by turning it on with no clothes in and see if it will go into the spin cycle with no clothes in, if it does then chances are its not weighing the clothes properly and would end up costing a fortune to put right as it sounds like you spent a lot of money on parts all ready, so give i a try with no clothes in and see if it will spin, have you tried turning the drum by hand when its switched off to check for any grinding noises or jerking when you try to turn it by hand, im not sure how the balance sensor works or even where it is as its a new feature in the last few years but people are now starting to have problems with this feature and it stops the machine from spinning leaving the clothes soaking yet, so give it a try empty and see what happens
Is drum spinning on spin, check belt tension if not. if this is ok then it could be problem with motor brushes, or if it is induction motor it could be a capasitor
the problem is your spin program is normal but the machine could not do its job usually there is broken pin clucth under the spinning tube and sometimes the spin gear.this is due to overlload problem. you should brought the machine to your trusted machine repairer as this cost you around US 100-200 in comparison if you buy new one
my machine had a pair of kids underware stopping the water from entering the draij pump, you may have clothes inbetween the drum and outer wall stopping the normal rotation
Hi Paul, Assuming it is pumping out ok, Unplug the machine tip it back at an angle, underneath you will see a black hose that is attached to the bottom of the drum, remove this, take out the ball and discard it and remove anything that may be in the filter, replace the hose and try the machine.
