A few weeks ago i was playing COD4 then the screen just cuts out but the sound is still working and the system seemed ok but there was no video. Then, i restarted and tried it again but the same thing happened. Now, the video and audio do not even work or at least i think they don't work because they're not appearing on the screen. I think the x360 is running well, but for a while it wasn't making any noises from the console but now it sounds like it is running well. The only problem is the video and audio. What can i do?

try reseting the system in the system settings this, is sometimes caused by an update not downloading and or installing correctly. once you reset to default, try updating the system on xbox live. if this continues you might have a drive issue. good luck....
Right, lay your Xbox360 down dont keep it upright, try installing COD4 to your hard drive then once installed go into you game library and click on cod4 and click play from hard drive ( and if you dont know how to install games to the hard drive make sure your xbox isnt on automatic start when a disc is inserted and put the disc in and when it says play cod4 press Y and then click install to hard drive) hope this helped....
Try researching it, that's what i did when it happened with CoD:4 (online) it may be overheating, you're obviously not having red lights, try unplugging it COMPLETELY and putting it near an open window

Have you tryed the cleaning of the lens first?? I would for sure do that. If that dosent work i would connect the unit to another amp and see if it still cuts out too. If it does it could have a problem with the tracking or focus gain/offwet alighnment. These are not consumer alighnments, as you need a scope and the know how to hook up the player to the scope and monitor the rf waveform along with test disc. Other then cleaning the unit theres not alot we as consumers can do. Good luck
