How to turn off demo mode?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to turn the demo mode off of your Electrolux dryer, model# EWED65H. To deactivate the demo mode in your appliance, please try the following:

    1)Turn the cycle knob to the last cycle on the right.
    2)Press the start button and immediately afterwards press the cancel button.
    3)Within 10 seconds, wake up your appliance by pressing the start button once.
    4)Immediately, press and hold cancel and the right most key under the display, together for a minimum of 6 seconds. DEMO MODE will no longer show in the display.
    5)If a 3 prong power cord (120V cord) is attached, remove it and attach normal 240 V cord.

    I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best Regards-

-Or disconnect main power and open back panel to visual check
all wire and connector. Possibly shock some where.

He3thermo fuse location

That's always next to the thermal control on older dryers called a themo stat or thermo disc, newer dryers it is called a thermistor. The round fuse is located next to it. The idea is the control judges the air temp and shuts down the heating source. If for some reason the control malfunctions or lint blocks air flow the fuse melts and kills the power to the motor. Nothing works on control panel except control locked sensor light. The buttons were working fine then I went to add more drying time and the buttons do not light up or work.

From the details of your symptom you're indicating a possible intermittent loose connection between the user interface (touch panel) and the machine control board or the voltage supply to machine control board at P1 connector.

Disconnect the power cord from the power source.

  • Disconnect P3 and P4 connectors from the machine control board and then reconnect them.
  • Disconnect P1 connector and then reinstall the P1 connector and then recheck operation.

If the wires are good then you will need to replace the control board on your unit.
Here is a link to the part.

I have a Whirlpool Duet electric dryer M# GEW9200LW0 that won't move past the sensing function on any cycle

try running a diagnostic on the dryer. You do this by making sure the power is off. Then push one of the sensor buttons (not the pause/cancel)
hold for 3 sec.
let go for 3 sec.
hold for 3 sec.
let go for 3 sec.
hold for 3 sec.
the lights will come on and 88 will show in the LED window. Then it should give you a F code.This website has a list of the codes and other instructions. http://fixitnow.com/wp/2007/06/19/whirlpool-duet-sport-dryer-diagnostics-and-fault-codes/
I ran the Diagnostic and it reset my machine and now runs fine. ( I had F-02) stuck button.
hope this helps
