Check the fuse first, if you are luck, probably you only need to change the fuse otherwise you probably need a new TV.

Turn off home electrity power or unplug all the expensive units when it is lighting to protect them.

The picture suddenly went very dim. adjusted the black level up and it lightened it up but it is not crisp and you know something is wrong.

There is a registration setting that fixes this. Look around in the menus and you will find it. It may need it reset fairly often.

The menu item allows you to focus the settings for a great picture.

Hello susbudi and Jazz617,

I would suggest do a check on the voltage from the IHVT to the High Voltage multiplier.
This will determine if this is a HV problem or not. If it is not It may be a video delivery problem which would have similar results. In any event both of these tasks I would suggest be preformed by a qualified TV repair technician.

I hope this helps,

Thank You,

Code 4 ???

I beleive a code 4 is a dead body but your problem sounds like a dead power supply.

Usually after a storm huh....LIGHTENING, bad power surge.....its power supply related.....

Sounds like a high voltage issue and/or a power supply problem.

No power/ clicks 5 times.( At wics end!!!!!!!)

I would suspect either the High voltage distribution block and/or the high voltage transformer as being at the root of your problem, especially with the HOT transistor being bad. If this set went out during a power surge/lightening storm however, all bets are off.
