The SmartDisk PhotoBank will not read cards above certain capacities (depending on the type of card). For example they will not read SDHC's etc. This solved my related problem...and it may solve yours...please let me know if it does... I had a similar problem (probably caused by deleting files within the device folders on my PC) and have searched tirelessly for a solution and had pretty much given up until I stumbled upon a link to the site below. http://www.box.net/shared/i8dknblsuy#/shared/i8dknblsuy/1/25549066/265225700/1 SmartDisk_FAT32_tool.exe (392.0KB). (Sorry don't know how or indeed if 'allowed' to attach files etc.) I was dubious at first with so many previous false dawns and especially with concerns about security. Although I can't personally vouch for the site, the link or the downloads integrity, McAfee gave the site and links a 'green' bill of health, the laptop is still functioning fine and as it should (nothing malicious detected by various security software such as McAfee and Spybot S&D etc and most importantly the SmartDisk PhotoBank is once again fully operational; all in an instant with no ill-effects or anything untoward occurring. If it won't read any cards (and it use to) then you may have a problem with your driver as I had such a problem. If this is the case please see below. (N.B. always best to back-up and/or create a restore point before updating drivers etc.
