I cannot get rid of the flashing loading sign on the window. I have unplugged the machine for various periods of time and the machine doesn't have a reset button. The machine is stuck in the loading mode and will not function. Thank you for your advise.

The loading sign appears when I plug in the machine. The machine will not function no mater what buttons I push. The machine is empty. Unplugging the machine and plugging it in again does not remove the flashing loading sign.

I HAVE HAD EXACTLY THIS PROBLEM.
LOADING MESSAGE CONSTANTLY, AND NO RESPONSE FROM ANY BUTTONS.
WHEN THE TOP COVER IS REMOVED ON THE DR-M10 THE MAIN BOARD HAS 4 LARGE VALUE ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS ACROSS THE WIDTH OF THE BOARD.
THEY ARE ALL MORE OR LESS SIDE TO SIDE WITH EACH OTHER .
THEIR LIFE IS SHORTENED DUE TO THE COOLING FAN NOT RUNNING IN STANDBY.
BY REPLACING ALL 4 ( THEY ARE ONY £0.60 EACH THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED).
ALSO.
THE PROBLEM CAN APPEAR BRIEFLY IF YOU HAVE A RIPPLE ON THE MAINS, BUT THIS IS CURED BY UNPLUGGING THE MAINS LEAD AND RE CONNECTING.

Hi,

To my knowledge, this is a combination VCR DVD. It would seem that your unit has failed to finish loading its firmware. That being the case, then it would require a reset. Since you have unplugged that unit "...for various periods of time..." then it is possible that it would require a flash of the firmware.

Alternately, you may want to check the +5VDC rail supplying the logic board with particular attention to C5207, 1500uF/6.3V and C5203, 1000uF/10V. Of course this would require that you be familiar with electronic circuitry and components, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your advantage access to a Service Manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you not be comfortable with a DIY (do-it-yourself), then perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional or a Service Center.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

You've tried putting a DVD in and taking a DVD out? Because, normally when you get the flashing loading issue it means the system cannot read the disk.

So, my question to you is this: has it ever worked? Do you have a disk in the drive now? Have you tried ejecting the tray and does it eject or not? If the tray will eject, have you put a DVD disk in the tray and still get the same problem?

Thanks. The reason I ask is if there is a fix from the manufacturer it has to be burned to a DVD and then loaded to run, do you think this machine can even do this?

Regards,
Worldvet

Please don't rate this, I'm just asking questions.

Looks like you have got a dirty/bad lens. You should first try a lens cleanr and see if it does the job. You can get one for as low as 8$. Just insert that in the player to clean the lens.
If it doesn't work you should take the player apart and check if the the lens assembly is slightly out of place. Just move it and align it back in place then check if it works. If it still doesn't work then you will hav to get a new lens.

Good Luck!
Sai.

I have a JVC VCR/DVD-recorder, model DR-MV7S. It developed a problem... when you placed a DVD on the tray & pressed the "eject/open" button to take the DVD into the recorder, the tray...

This can be due to a faulty LOADING drive settings, It can be due to a misalignment of the loading section and so the load does not reset to the PARK CONDITION of the MODE.
It can be a aulty gear, belt or jamming in the drive.
You need to open the player, remove the mechanism and manually check the forward and loading motion which can confirm. If the belt or the drive is jammed this can be checked and replaced or reset.
Check the mode switch settings of the forward loading.

More than likely its just a blown fuse, I had this happen with a SONY combo unit i had , I used a Philips head screwdriver opened it up and took the fuse to FRY's Electronics or a radioshack if its more convenient put the new one in works like a charm.

Just had the 2nd diagnosis for the error - "digital PCB" at a cost of £252 - BONKERS! Have e-mailed JVC to see if they can make the cost of the repair reasonable, got a positive reply they want me to send my proof of purchase, serial no etc. & they'll consider dropping the cost significantly. On top of that just found same model on ebay, ex display £130. baught it, was prepaired to pay upto same for the repair - gunna swap HDD for mine when it arrives, the stuff on there was the main reason i wanted it repaired. Still gunna try to get mine fixed for nowt though through JVC! May as well try for nothing!
