I have a Lenovo G540/G640 and windows7 installed but i cant run my lenovo easy camera what to do

Try the following suggestion from pcrayz at the Lenovo Community Forum:
Step 1: Download and install the Lenovo Easy camera driver for your version of windows here:

Step 2 : Download the Easy Capture SOFTWARE from that same driver site above.
Right click the install file and select Properties then select the Compatability Tab Check the box nex to Run this program in compatability mode for: From the pull down select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) then click Apply and OK and try running the install again.

Yeah you need the Lenovo Easy camera software for installing that.
You can download it from lenovo support site by choosing the appropriate model of your laptop.

You can download the vista version or Xp version of "Lenovo easy cam" software, if Win7 is not available for download. Both vista and xp versions do support installing in win7...

Welcome to FixYa! There's a possibility that the webcam is disabled. You can go ahead and download the latest driver from the lenovo website itself instead of using the Lenovo Disc. Pleae click on this link for you to be able to redirected to the download page. B560,V460 and V560 do have sme camera driver so it doesn't matter.

1. Click Download

2. Click Run if you are using Internet Explorer or Save if you are using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

3. Follow the instructions given to you.

4. When installation has completed, Restart computer.

5. Press and hold Fn key and Esc for you to be able to disable and enabled the camera.

6. Try to use the camera using the software that you have ( Lenovo Easy Capture, YouCam,Yahoo Messenger, Skype )

I have lenovo laptop model no -g560. its camera does not work.

Try to press FN+ESC button to turn on the camera if it doesn't work then uninstall the Lenovo EasyCamera driver and the Easy Capture in the Control Panel/Uninstall Program. Then Download the lenovo easycamera driver in this link: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_895.html and then install it. After that download also the Easy Capture this is the link:http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_934.html and then install it.

windows 7 should be automatic at doing a lot of stuff including installing your camera automatically. Try updating your version of windows 7. I'm pretty sure that it will require a lot of updating because of your fresh install. Just go to control panel and then update manager. see if that helps

Here is the driver for XP for that Lenovo Y410 of yours, LN1CAM29WW3.exe , the camera name on it Lenovo Easy Camera
Download and install it and you will be fine!
