Question about Maytag 24 in. MDB8600AW Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher
Our ZDT6255 dishwasher was installed three years ago and heas worked well since. However, we now find that the tablets or pouches of detergent do not dissolve and are left sitting on the floor of the machine at the end of the wash cycle. We have tried different makes, including Finish powder, with the same result. We have also tried Finish Gel but this produces a dried-on texture to the dish surfaces.
After several years of using dishwasher tablets in our Maytag dishwasher, the tablets are not dissolving. The washer goes through the entire wash/rinse/dry cycle, but the tablet remains in its holder and does not dissolve.
Either there is not enough water (check water valve) or the pump filters are clogged (check and clean as necessary)

SOURCE: Tablets not dissolving
Sounds like whatever soap you are using is just too much soap your dishwsher can handle. The soap "packs" are usulally an overload of soap for most dishwashers. Just a few teaspoons of regular name brand soap sometimes will cure lots of dishwsher ills!!!
