I was given a computer from a friend and it is rather out of date. My friend has forgotten the password and try as I might I cannot get into it. What should I do? Thank you.

you can recall your password by one of these:-
1. Try to call your personal information like date of birth, place of birth, secret questions etc. Then recall forgotten password.
2. Try to recall 5 or more recent senders to your gmail account. Then recall forgotten password.
3. Try to recover from recovery email/mobile
if you have configured Gmail account with Microsoft outlook, you can see 5 recipients from its .pst file.

Sorry for the laugh! Next time don't put any password, u have to erase the memory of ur CMOS!


By doing this............ Pull out the battery and power on ur BOARD, wait for 5 to 10 min., plug ur power, restart ur board w/o the battery and u could see it is all blank now, set the time and date, and put back ur battery!

try booting up in safe mode and edit your user

This will give you function straight away
Change the hard drive and load a fresh new Operating system,
If you dont have the drivers download them from the manufacturers site
If you have the disk with the drivers then should be easier than without.

If the password is in your bios then take the Computer Repair Agent.
The comfort of having it working versus not could be the biggest benefit.
