Question about Philips GoGear Flash MP3 Player
Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
then:Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Ive had my player do this 3 times i tried all kinds of stuff the first 2 times that at the end I had no idea what made it work. I finally figured it out on the third time.... Get a small needle and hit reset it will turn on the player. then just plug it back into your computer and it will start charging =)

Had the same issue. The batteries were dead, and the usb cable that i plugged in to the computer was junk, changed the cable and windows recognized it right away.
