Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My scanner stopped working so we used the CD to uninstall and reinstall. We also uninstalled from add/remove programs with the CD to make sure it was fully gone. It says that it installed sucessfully but when going to printers/faxes the printer is not listed. HP director won't open either. Our computer was built for us but I know it runs on Windows and origionally had vista but we installed Windows XP as to not deal with Vista since it sucks. Does anyone have suggestions?
We will experience this type of issues if the drivers are not installed properly.
Once remove the USB cable from the computer and insert the CD and click on ' add a device ' option and follow the onscreen instructions and connect the USB cable at the middle when it prompts.
Once it is finished, check for the printer icon and then try to print.
Also try to open the HP Director, if it doesnot open then download the IE7 patch from the HP website and then install it and try to open.
