Maytag mbb2256gew Is 50oz. r134-a the correct charge?

I found and repaired leak on my fridge and pulled vac. to 430 microns. The label in the fridge says 50 oz for the charge. i started charging unit. I 've put in 36 oz and unit appears to be tripping out on amps.I'm pulling 4.7 to 5 amps, fridge is cooling down. I'm used to r-12 and r134 pressures are new to me. Am i putting way too much charge in the unit?     Joe

Maytag heavy duty washing machine quiet series 100 leaks water from the top panel

Older maytags were equipped with an "air-gap" that can leak if the rubber sleeve part of it gets too stiff and cannot flex. It is along the left hand side of the machine fastened by a 5/16" screw between the machine cabinet and the upper panel... Maytag Injector Tube 12001677

F-21 keeps blinking?

you have to clean the pump or you have a bad pump, unplug it,remove the bottom panel, get a shop vac,the center of the pump spins out counterclockwise, have vac ready, turn center cap and vac out water as it comes out, first if there\'s water in the tub suck that out first then go to the pump, when water stops coming out pull out the center of pump and clean it out, usually coins and other lovely smelly stuff in there,go here and look at part number 15 this is the part you want to remove

Maytag Washer Model LAT9416AAE - Top tub seal is leaking or where the tub and the shaft meet is leaking. What would the cost be for parts and repair (service fees, labor, etc.)?

Hello,
The usual charge when i have repaired that is around $375
in addation to the seal a tub bearing would be required since the seal has leaked it very likely has rusted the bearing. To replace those both the inner and outer tub have to come apart, the breakdown would be
Parts--$150
Service Fee $75
Labor $100

labor and service fees vary from company to company and that is probably low,yet it is a great washer and may be well worth investing in to repair

Apparently there is a problem with Beko refrigeration manufactured between 2000/2006. Please confirm model number in question.

From Beko:-

"The BEKO frost free fridge freezer models affected were manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006. These have a serial number that begins with either 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 or 06. and this information can be found on a label inside the fridge. Beko is making a free of charge modification to all affected models, this modification takes approximately 30mins.

Other Beko branded models and all Beko frost free fridge freezers manufactured after this date are unaffected.

Affected model numbers:

    • CA 5411 FFS/FFW/FFX
    • CA 7014 FFX
    • CA 7015 FFW/FFS/FFX
    • CDA 539 FS/FW/FX
    • CDA 543 FS/FW/FX
    • CDA 645 FW
    • CDA 647 FS/FW

    • CS 461 FFW/FFS
    • CSA 4706 FFX
    • CSB 4606 FFSD/FFS/FFW"

If you find that your model is listed above and is in the correct model year range then you need to click here for further guidance. There is also a freephone number, but it's swamped by callers. Even if you get through you will receive exactly the same advice as you would from the website links.

Sudsy water is leaking from the machine

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
The tub seal is the most common thing that causes Maytag washers to leak. This is unfortunate because the tub seal is an expensive repair job and not one I would suggest doing yourself. I say this because it is complicated and requires special tools to perform this job. To check if the tub seal is bad, first remove the front panel by removing the two screws from the bottom of the front panel. If you have a newer model, prize the bottom clips with a screwdriver. Then pull the bottom of the panel until the top clips release. Then start the washer and watch for a leak around transmission where it goes through the tub. If it does leak then the tub seal is bad and needs replacing. If you have the tool or willing to buy it click here for instructions on how to replace the tub seal. If the tub seal doesn't, leak you probably found the leak while performing this test.

Maytag Neptune washer front loader has been great but my wife pointed out that it doesn't drain all the water out? The thought of that old water under the spinning basket (dont know the tech term) doesnt...

Yes, the Neptune is a great washer, arguably. :-> You just may have a clogged pump. Pull the back panel and the rest is evident. Pull baffles, remove gookus, pull pump, clean, etc. ...just like a plumber. Be sure to pull the rubber baffe directly from the bottom of the outer tub. You may need a wet/dry vac to assist you. It's a bear of a job but I do it all the time.

We have a Maytag top-loader model A482 which is probably 25 years old. I found water on the floor under the machine when the last load finished washing. What's the first place to look for the leak? I'm...

The most common thing that will cause a leak is the tub seal. If the tub seal is leaking water will be comming from the center of the tub where the transmission meets the tub. This page will show how to replace the seal. http://appliance-repair-it.com/Maytag-tub-seal.html

There is also an air-gap that will often leak. If this is the case the water will be comming from the left hand side at the top. The air-gap is in line with the water inlet. This page will tell more http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/Maytag-washer-leaking.html

If they are not the problem you will have to look for a leaking hose or something to that nature.

My maytag washer was makeing noise and we moveved it out and found a black plastic cap that was in two and fluid leak.

The plastic cap goes underneath the washer on the end of the transmission shaft below the belt pulley.
You may have a transmission oil leak causing the noise.
This machine is worth repairing.
It is a better machine than any brand made today.

Water leaks from door - gasket coming off

you can call your local part store and ask them for the price to this part and install it yourself if you have the correct tools to access it. Repair for this part is impractical. Replacement part should be sought and installed. :)

Hope this helps you,

Joe
