I am having the exact same problem. The dryer has slowly been taking longer and longer to dry. We have cleaned out the vent inside and out. I also washed with a brush the removable lint tray. Someone sent me an e-mail from a repair man saying that a build up from dryer sheets can cause the dryer to overheat. I thouht this might solve my problem, but now there is no heat at all. HELP, my dryer is only 4 years old. I have a call in for a repair man.

Wont spin

You need to clear out the drain pump. if you should be able to access the pump from the front bottom by unscrewing and removing the filter. If not then you will need to tilt the machine back as far as you can so you can access the underneath. You will see the small drain pump. Have a basin ready to catch any water that comes out when remove the pump which is only held in by 1 or 2 screws and twisted out or pulled out. If it is clear then try removing the pipe that goes from the pump to the base of the tub. Hope this helps

Washer will not completly drain. The clothes are still really wet when the cycle has ended

I have had this washer and it has been a nightmare since day one... the problem is that your filter (catch basin is clogged) you have to unscrew the front of the bottom of the machine and you will see a round lint trap. make sure you have a bucket in front of you and beware it smells really bad... unscrew that and your golden-- dont even bother to put the front panel back on-- we have to clean our filter monthly.. good luck

What does problem f2 mean

Hello,

the drain pump has either failed or the pump filter has become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel. There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap) BE READY TO CATCH LOTS OF WATER. CAREFULLY AND S_L_O_W_L_Y unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris.

Take care.

Frigidaire affinity not draining

The problem is that on the infeed side of the pump there is a catch/filter in the Hose/boot that will catch lint and coins (LOTS OF COINS) and will not allow the water to flow through to the pump. This will stop the cycle and prevent the tub from spinning and the basin will not drain.
to fix this turn your washer over and access the pump from the bottom. the boot can be disconnected from the wash basin with a phillips screwdriver, reach in the boot and pull out the plastic catch and empty the debri, reinstall the the catch after cleaning it and put the boot back on. Set your machine back upright and conncet all the hoses and plug it in. It should work. This is a easy job but it will take an hour or so.

How to clean the pump on a whirlpoolb front loader

Remove the three screws securing the bottom access panel. There you will find a pump filter that you can unscrew and remove debris.
Removing the pump from the mounting position and pulling forward slightly will make draining a little easier.
UNSCREW AND DRAIN SLOWLY as there will be lots of water to catch..
