Question about Televison & Video
We've had this TV for 1.5 years, and it has been mostly fine. But recently it started turning itself on at random times. If it is left plugged in, it will turn itself on within a hour or two.
Obviously, we can just unplug when not in use. But now it is also changing it's own channel. I have it programmed to stay on one channel for the satellite, so it just makes the screen go blank for a second and then the channel number shows on the screen. It's annoying when it does this over and over in a short amount of time.
We've tried calling the company and they are no use. It is off warranty. Any ideas for how we might be able to fix?
The problem is with the control panel of your tv...make sure your remote doesnt have any part in this...just remove and the batteries and check if the channels still are changing.....see if the onboard switch for channel changing is stuck ?..if stuck u can use homemade tools to pull it back......if your tv is within your gurantee period...just giv a call to customer care....if not u can take it to a local repair shop...there is nothin that u can urself do to make it right ...sorry....for further info contact at

I have the same problem with my Pioneer plasma. It randomly changes channel inputs. I have tried removing batteries form all remotes (sky,TV etc), switching off broadband, laptops phones etc. I now think it may be down to my Nokia E66 mobile phone. It hasn't happened whilst I have the phone switched off. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a very similar problem with a flat screen tv I keep in the bedroom. Suddenly one day it was difficult to get the thing to work at all from the remote control and once you moved to a different channel or changed the volume it would continue to change going around the channels or moving the volume to the maximum or minimum. this happened using the remote or the on board controls. I checked the aerial & power supply both were OK. I noticed if I moved the tv to the floor it stopped happening, finally I moved the tv to the other side of the room & this cured the situation. Cause unknown

Try replacing the batteries in your remote control unit

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
