Well it does sound like your monitor is going to die soon. You'll just need to replace it, trying to fix a 7yr old monitor is exactly worth it. Fixing it would be costly so you may as well buy a new one.not sure what you mean by integrated with drive unit. some elaborating would help :D
The cmos reset jumper it is indicated on nr.10, alternatevely when you cannot find reset jumper on a motherboard you can pull out and put back motherboard battery
