My Bosch she45mo6uc/50 dishwasher will not advance to the wash cycle. It makes a series of clicks, but nothing happens. It just stops. Any ideas?

The most common problem that causes this with this particular unit is the water heater unit failing. It will clod rinse but then when it fills and tries to heat the water, it senses that the heater unit isn't functioning and errors out

What is cold resistance of heater element? Bosch SGS56E02GB

If the heater element had infinite resistance, it would be defective. Possibly a defective thermostat.

Dishwasher runs for to long

most likely the inlet hot water is not of correct temperature or if dishwasher has its own heater then the heater in dishwasher is failing to heat water to correct temperature or the thermostat is failing.

My Bosch Dishwasher is not drying my dishes now. The model number is SHE44C05UC.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it seems that the heating element has failed. The dishwasher uses steam to heat the tub to dry the dishes. I suspect your dishes are also being washed in cold water.

To check this, please run a regular full wash cycle. Allow the washer to fill with water and run for about 10 minutes, then open the door and feel the water temperature in the bottom of the washer. If the water is cold, it's more than likely the heating element has failed.

There are other possible faults which would cause the element not to heat, but these often prevent the dishwasher from completing the cycle. If the water is cold but the dishwasher still drains the water at the end - and completes the cycle - the heating element has probably failed.

Please try this simple test for water temperature and let me know if you need further assistance.

BElectric

Bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description " bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles
"

I suspect the thermostat isn't satisfied when heating the water, hence it get`s hung up trying to heat in the part`s of the cycle it`s called for.

It very well could be caused by a faulty flow switch, NTC or heater as well but not very likely.

The dishwashers made by Bosch with a rotary dial timer have very few if any, issues with the actual timer or element but they do with the thermostat within the door panel.

If it ( the thermostat ) is not satisfied the water may heat but not be indicated via the thermostat, hence timer will not advance.

Here`s what you can try. If you have any hesitation or reluctance to service this yourself please call in an authorized B/S/H/ ( Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau ) appliance technician.

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel before attempting any service suggested **

  1. You will require a #20 torx screwdriver to remove the door panel by taking out the screws around the panel, except the ones along the top ( watch the edges they are very sharp )

  2. Once the panel is removed you should see the thermostat over by the detergent dispenser clipped to the inner door, remove it and test it. You`ll need a ohm meter/multi-meter plus a lighter or match to heat it up to see if it open`s & closes.
Example...

**NOTE** it can occur the thermostat can become loose and detach from the bracket which holds it in place, this too can manifest in the sysmptom of the timer not advancing.

Let me know how you make out and what you find.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Model not sure 10yrs? HydroSensor,(only title On

Try and drain water out completely and restart cycle. Note if water comes in and if so, once in is there a hum (audible) when in effect the motor should run. If so, the motor is jambed and needs to be cleared. Check the door limit has not malfunctioned as well. It can be bridged temporary to confirm.

My Bosch dishwasher is no longer using hot water to wash dishes, only cold. I have checked all the connections and they are ok. What gives?

Check the thermostat, heater element. Finally check whether the power supply reaching the element terminals.

Take care if you are doing it keeping the machine ON.

Dishwasher not drying - Bosch Integra SHU9952

Bosch generally drys through evaporation from hot water rinse. There is a common circuit board issue where a cold solder joint on the heater relay pops. The water does not heat sufficient to evaporate any longer. Consult your manual for self diagnosing trouble shooting codes or go to appliance aid.com.
If the board connection is the issue I have repaired several, however Bosch recommends replacement only and sometimes supplies the parts free.

how do you disconnect the waste pipe from the back of a Bosch hydrosensor dishwasher

Bosch dishwasher shu4302uc

Common problem with these. Control panel (behind all the buttons on the door) has a thyristor in the middle of the PCB for switching the heater element ON/OFF.
After many screws and a bit of fiddling about, get access to back of PCB (print side) to find dry joints. Clean and re-make joints and all should be well.
Caution, this is a high voltage area. Disconnect from mains.
Please see photos.
