Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged - the full user's manual can be downloaded from Sandisk's website.

Oh, also, if you have Windows Vista, get the Vista compatible software from Sandisk's website

When i turn on my sansa clip, it says not enough space, please free 90 mb, and when i connect it to the computer, nothing shows in the sansa clip file, not even the songs i have. what should i do?

Try resetting the player.Hold down the Power/Reset button for about 15 seconds to perform a normal reset.
If it doesn't help then try the one below.
This will reset the player to its original factory settings.
1. Press Menu to return to the Main Menu.
2. Move to Reset All and select it.
3. Select Save to reset to factory settings or Cancel to stop

My Sansa Clip won't work. When I turn it on it says: Not enough space for music DB Please free 30 MB. But when i connect it to my computer it doesn't register. PLEASE HELP ME

Because you drag 7 drop songs or files too much into the sansa clip in MSC mode, it causes like that.
Turn it on, it will show " Not enough.....free 30 MB", and then automatically turn off. Plug it into pc, open my computer, it will be under name "Sansa clip..." or "removable disk ". If your pc does not recognize it, unplug again and replug it.
Open Sansa Clip..., or removable disk, and delete some songs.
Good luck

Plug your device into computer and let it about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Then, unplug and turn it on.
If it doesn't work, you should change another one.

Sansa Clip won't charge

Here's the thing, technically it doesn't need to be turned on because it's supposed to turn on by itself.

I've had a problem sort of like that. It might be the plug, but it also might be the computer. I'd either suggest try plugging it into another computer or getting a new plug.

Sansa Clip does not show up on computer

I had the same problem all you've got to do is first turn on the sansa clip. Then go to settings. After that scroll down to USB mode (second from bottom) then it woul probably say auto detect. Scroll down to MSC then hit enter. If that doesn't work try MTP mode.

There is a fix, but it is going to delete all the songs off the player, so you will have to reload them. Disconnect the Sansa Clip from the computer. Slide the power button up for 15 seconds to turn the Sansa Clip off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer

Computer not recognizing mp3 sansa clip

Comment by vickisanchez, posted on Mar 19, 2008 IT FINALLY WORKS !!!!

Sandisk Tech support had me do the following:

- Turn it OFF
- Put it in the HOLD position
- HOLD the center button IN while plugging into USB port, continue to hold for 5 to 7 sec even after plugged in.
At this point MY COMPUTER recognized it. And it worked.

He also had me to:

- go to WWW.MICROSOFT.COM
- In the upper right hand search bar, type in MTP PORTING KIT
I did this and downloaded the first one. Now my Sansa Clip work perfect. I wish I would have talked to him last week before I returned the last one, for the same reasons.

If this does not help call the 1-800 # , opt #4, and ask for GUY (yes that is really his name) out of 5 or so calls to Tech Support he is the only one who knew what he was doing, and how to actually HELP.
GOOD LUCK
