Friedrich CP24F30 money saver mode not working

Money saver mode dose not regulate room temperature. All that mode dose cycle fan on and off with the thermostat if in the yes position then fan cuts on and off with the call for cool. if in the no position than fan runs all the time even when cool is not needed. that switch is like the auto/on on a thermostat for central air. the thermostat is what regulates temp in room.

Friedrich Breeze air conditioner is not cooling. Repairman says there is nothing wrong because cooling coils are cold. I now think it is the sensor that is not working because I cannot get a room...

Are you the owner of the air conditioner or the repairman.. haha.. this repair man tells you nothing wrong and you are not satisfied with that... did he tried to check the filter, repairman is right when cooling coils are cold you are supposed to feel a cold temperature but only when the filter is clean and i assume the fan is working good..

Hi, I have a Friedrich air conditioner. Old one I am pretty sure. Maybe 9 years. Model is SL28J30A-D. I have a feeling my filter is not working properly or I don't even have the right one in. Currently I...

The evaporator coil (cold coil) would freeze up if the air entering is restricted. It could shut down because the rear coil (condenser coil) is dirty or obstructed. Sometimes there's debris or even bird's nest blocking the condenser air outlet, this causes heat and high head pressure.

My Friedrich A/C is turning on and off by itself, can you help me?

when the room reaches the set temperature the unit is made to cut off until heating or cooling is needed again, this is the units way of not cooling or heating too much.

Friedrich quietmaster fan does not come on and compressor sounds like it might be laboring when switch is turned to high, medium, low cool. The airconditioner does work if the money saver switch in on. Once...

Shut the power off to the unit, spin the fan blade to see if it spins freely. If it doesn't spin freely, (there appears to be a little drag when you spin it),the bearings are bad, if it does spin freely, then try moving the motor shaft from side to side if there’s any play in the shaft side to side then the bearings are worn and motor needs replaced. Then, check the capacitor, if it’s bulging even slightly, the capacitor is bad and needs replaced. Most of the time people replace the capacitor if motor seems ok. If capacitor is ok, turn power on to see if the motor is getting the proper voltage, if it is and not trying to run, then the windings are probably open, the motor's bad and needs replaced.

Squealing and sometimes doesn't blow cool

A squealing noise is most likely the bearings going bad in the blower motor. This will slow the motor down. If the blower is not operating at the proper speed this will affect the temperature pressure relationship of the refrigerant. This will cause the unit to put out the wrong temperature. Running the unit to long under these conditions can possibly cause further problems ( including a very high electric bill). I recommend that use do not use this unit untill it is repaired or replaced.
Good luck.....

Central Air Conditioning

It sounds like a restriction in your ducting. Feel the A/C vents in the hot rooms to see if cold air is blowing out of them. If the ducts are restricted, then it is possible that the air conditioning coils are freezing up from lack of circulation. Inspect the ducts if you can to see if there is any restriction.

Note that even if you feel air coming out of the ducts, it could be ambient as opposed to cold. The best thing is to measure the air temperature coming out of the ducts. It should be around 20 degrees colder than the ambient air at the intake of the A/C.
