Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
you will have to put the phone in the DFU mode and restore with itunes

To put the iPhone into DFU mode so you can do an iTunes firmware restore follow these steps:

Step One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

Step Two
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

Step Three
After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

The iPhone screen will remain black like this:

NOTE***: It may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU mode. Generally, I hold down both buttons then release the Home button just before I think the Apple logo would appear. If you are still holding both buttons down and you see the Apple logo you are holding them down for too long!

What is the default pass code of iPhone 3G??

Generally, the default passcode can be 1234 or 123456, and the digits rely on the blank number. However, if the default passcode doesn't work, you can still reset the passcode through below steps. If you have synced your iPhone with iTunes before you forget your iPhone password, you can reset your iPhone by using iTunes without losing data. Through iTunes, you can restore your iPhone from the last backup and remove the passcode from your locked iPhone while retaining your data. If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer. Otherwise, you have to follow the reset iPhone Passcode with Recovery Mode section below. The following steps will show you how to reset iPhone password with iTunes.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to the computer with via a USB cable that your iPhone has trusted.
Step 2. Launch iTunes. If you've synced your iPhone with iTunes, then no "enter password" is required.
Step 3. iTunes will automatically sync your iPhone and create a backup file. If it doesn't, you should sync your iTunes and create a backup file manually by in the Summary window.
Step 4. In the Summary window, you can see the option "Restore iPhone". Click it and follow prompts to choose the latest iTunes backup to restore your iPhone.

After the restoration process is complete, your passcode will be erased and all your data will be restored from your backup. You will now be able to access your iPhone without any passcode. And you can set your new password on iPhone.

I was upgrading my i phone 3G with the new version of I tune and left it overnight to download, in the morning I see the icon of the connect symbol on my iphone screen and nothing else could be done. I...

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your iPhone 3G Farid.

The issue with your iPhone 3G going to the iTunes with USB screen mode, is an indication that the upgrade you attempted to perform somehow removed the previous iOS (iPhone Operating System) you were using prior to the upgrade you were attempting achieve.

As a result, you are correct. Because you are connecting your iPhone 3G to another computer, you would not be able to sync with the other computer's iTunes library, without risk of losing all of your media on the iPhone 3G.

To resolve this issue, you would need to attempt to perform a restore back to the factory settings on the computer that contains the iTunes library you have original synced your iPhone 3G with.

This process will wipe the data from your iPhone 3G, yes, but if you have previously synced your iPhone 3G with that iTunes library on the computer in the past, that means the iTunes library will have some previous back ups from those past syncs you have performed with your iTunes library.

If that is the case, then when you perform the factory restore Farid, you will then need to follow up and perform a restore from your most current back up process in iTunes, so you can restore your iPhone 3G back to its most current settings and data, contacts, and pictures.

For a support page reference on how to perform a factory restore and a restore from a previous back up her is a link I would like to provide you for review:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414

You can also use a software solution if you do want to safely transfer your data from your iPhone 3G to another computer with another iTunes library on another computer if you so choose.

One of the better software titles I recommend is called: Media Widget iPod Transfer Software

This is a great software solution for any iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad product.

Let me know if this helps. If you have more questions regarding this issue or what I have provided,, please free to reply back to this post.

How to solve if my iphone 3G cannot be on, it stuck at the apple screen?

  • The quickest way to fix your iPhone 3G is to sync it to a different computer. When you do this the computer will recognize it as a new device and install the software on it like it's never been used before, that said everything you have on it is gone. It may take a while so be patient.
  • 2 If step one is successful you can sync it to your computer. It will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to sync it to this one; go ahead and do it. This may take a while too because you will install the applications, songs, data, etc. you had on it before.

WARNING! DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR IPHONE 3G WHILE SYNC IS IN PROGRESS OR ELSE YOU WILL BE STUCK IN RESTORE MODE AGAIN!
  • 3 If steps 1 and 2 did not work or you do not have another computer to sync it with the following steps will help.
  • 4 Backup your music, videos, and applications. Typically it would be the iTunes folder in the My Music folder. This is a precautionary step to the following steps to come, your music should be unaffected but stranger things have happened.
  • 5 Uninstall iTunes, Quicktime, and other Apple component software from your computer. Follow the steps listed on the Apple Support page, "Removing iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP" the link is available in the resources section. Restart your computer when done.
  • 6 To be sure everything is uninstalled completely run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. This program removes remnants of uninstalled programs from your registry and deletes files that the uninstall fail to catch. You can download and read more about this program from the Microsoft Help and Support Page, "Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" the link is available in the resources section. Restart your computer.
  • 7 If you have a registry cleanup utility like Registry Mechanic or CCleaner run the program and restart your computer. It is sad to say but the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility may not catch everything so having a secondary cleaner could be essential.
  • 8 Install the latest version of iTunes. Currently iTunes 8 is the latest, it could change tomorrow so download it from Apple.com. Restart your computer.
  • 9 Open iTunes and connect your iPhone 3G. It may take a while for it to recognize the phone, be patient. Once iTunes recognizes your phone it will prompt you to download the latest iPhone software, the current version is 2.1. Follow the installation instructions in the Apple iPhone - Software Update page, the link is available in the resources section.

WARNING! DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR IPHONE 3G WHILE SYNC IS IN PROGRESS OR ELSE YOU WILL BE STUCK IN RESTORE MODE AGAIN!
  • 10 Hopefully these steps helped you recover your iPhone 3G. It is possible that even after a successful recovery your phone may revert back to being stuck. In my experience I was able to save my iPhone 3G from restore mode but when I downloaded the software update it got stuck again, luckily steps 1 and 2 fixed it.

How to unlock apple 3g iphone

If you have backed up your iPhone, just restore your iPhone with iTunes. Certainly, you can also utilize iCloud to reach this aim.

How to unlock iPad without password using iTunes
    • 1. Connect iPad to the computer you have synced with.
    • 2. Open iTunes on your computer and connect it with your iPad. If fortunate, you can enter the iTunes without password. But in most cases, there would be prompt asking for a pass code. Try another computer you've synced with, or use recovery mode. (The recovery mode will be mentioned in method three.)
    • 3. Find your iPad in summary and make a manual backup. Once the backup have finished, click Restore your iPad with the most relevant back-up.

Lock up after trying to install 3.0

There are a lot of suggested solutions on different forums for the 1604 (including on the Apple support site) - most blame a faulty / corrupted itunes and suggest reinstalling, or blame the USB port you're using and suggest either trying a different port (ideally at the back of your HD) or different computer. None of those things worked for me when it happened to me. My issue was that the 'preparing to restore' phase of restoration became looped and eventually it crashed citing error 1604.

However, there was a solution at: http://daggle.com/iphone-upgrade-fail-701 which did work for me.

    For convenience:

    1. Start the restore process (whatever way you can).

    2. When it seems to be stuck in the loop (and possibly your iPhone just shows a blank screen) use CTRL+ALT+DEL and end task to kill the iTunes application.

    3. Restart the restore process.
