Re: Coby 224 wrong disc
You can reset the settings through the menu, its under the advanced option in the menu. however, its not a regional error, if it was in the wrong region, it would say wrong region and not wrong disk, try putting the region back to 1 or 0 or 9, 1 is USA, 9 and 0 are all regions.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Hello there, You just bought a wrong DVD-player or DVD-disc for your country.Although I believe it is illegal you could try to 'hack' your DVD-player and make it region-free. A list of DVD-players that can be hacked you find here.http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks Good luck and best regards, FriskyRThank you for using FixYa, please rate this solution 4 thumbs if it was usefull. If not, please let me know.
I believe this works - I've yet to try it myself!
Coby DVD-755 1 user region code/hacks August 13, 2007 Post region code/hack comment
Region code hack posted by Peter, August 13 2007:
DVD -755 from Walmart home theatre for $79.00
2-Press Vol +, Vol-, Vol +, Vol -,
3-Number shows up
4-Change the region code by using RIGHT arrow.
5=Press ?Setup? to exit.
Succesfuly tested bt Peter F.
In Remote Control:
1) Press SETUP
2) Press Fwd (»)
3) Press Rwd («)
4) Press Fast Forward (»|)
5) Press Fast Rewind (|«)
Original region number (1 to 6) will appear - uses arrow keys (Navegation) to change to 255 (ALL Regions).
A couple notes:
- The keys referred to in the above hack are on the remote control (not
on the front panel). But, if you want, you can use the front panel to
implement the hack – just use the key equivalents (i.e., for SETUP,
press Mode twice; for », press and hold »| for 2 seconds, and so on ).
- When the Region Number appears, it is in the upper right corner of
the Set Up window without any label. In other words, if your player is
currently set up for Region 1, look for the number 1 to appear in the
upper-right corner of the Set Up screen (once you've pressed the
correct sequence of fast forward and reverse keys). Then use the arrow
keys to toggle the number to 255.
If you remove the main battery, you might have to do the trick again.
