Question about Bose MediaMate Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Loose Connection? I have the original Bose MediaMate Speakers. My speakers have been on my desk since I have purchased them (I have had no reason other than to dust to move them). My left speaker cuts in and out... I can move the plug in the back of the right speaker (with the hookups on back) and it will come back in and out.... It appears that the connector in the right speaker is loose or 'bent'? I dont know... I would like to take the speaker apart to check connection but it seems that they are put together fairly tight and secure? How can I check this connection and resolve?

same problem here. The speaker cable attached to the accessory speaker is little bent/loose inside and I was wondering how to replace that speaker cable, but could not open the speaker to check the connection or to check how to replace the attached speaker cable.

The driver for our bose speakers suddenly is not working. We uninstalled the driver but the computer is saying it has found a driver but ran into an error in downloading it. What next?

if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
control panel sounds and audio, volume you can adjust the volume or advanced, speakers ((select appropriate speakers)) or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the right speakers or control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll to sound, video and game cotrollers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

Installed the speakers into my new Desktop computer.I cannot obtain any sound now from the speakers. They appear to be installed properly.

make sure your master volume is not on mute or try plugging the speakers into the other jack on the back of the computer.

Can I use mediamate speakers I had on my desk top on my laptop that runs vista? I have them plugged in and it sounds terrible...I have always had a problem with these speakers being very crackly and...

No it is not fixed, I think it has to do with the wires and plug that goes into the tower, when I move the plug in the tower around I get good sound, can't fiddle around all day with wires, and holding the plug in a specific location, I think they are junk... and I don't think the speakers justify spending money on trouble shooting!
