Battery is rechargeable lithium. Problem still exists even when battery charged and/or device plugged in

  • ggnellie4 Jul 06, 2008

  • ggnellie4 Jul 06, 2008

Hi,

Would you post the actual model no from the label on the bottom of your cam corder. What we see is the categoy you posted in when selecting a category.

This is often not the actual model a customer is asking about.

Thanks.

What I'm thinking and I know the others here will agree is that you need to reset your camcorder as it is clearly stuck.

There are only a few reasons your camera would give this error message.
a. bad memory card (unlikely)
b. locked SD Memory card (possible check lock slider on card)
c. memory card too large in capacity for your camera model
d. Cam corder chipset glitched.

Please post that model number, thanks. We can take the next step to help you with that information.

Regards,
Worldvet

If that's the case better try using another memory card to see if you will still have the same problem...

Hope that helps........

My vivitar dvr 410 won't turn on. When I plug it in to the computer it says MSDC and i even took out the memory card and fliped down its switch...the same thing happened.....

MSDC is displayed on the camera's LCD screen when connected to your PC because the PC recognizes the camera as a "mass storage device". make sure you installed the software to your PC before you connect the camera.

USB Mass storage...when I want to transfer all my viedo or photo to my computer... in the scream of camera .it`s shows....USB mass storage.... and it`s not posibel... please fine my problem.. thank...

Your PC is seeing your camera memory as USB mass storage and this is OK. Nothing is wrong with this. Follow the screens and you will see that the computer will see your camera as USB mass storage, and when you open the folder on your computer the camera pictures will be there.
Windows is set up to see cameras as USB mass storage devices for simplicity, so your computer can accept pictures from any camera that connects by USB without needing special software.
If this bothers you, most cameras are sold with their own special software that starts when the camera is connected. Check your users manual and follow the instructions for installing or downloading the software.

How do I transfer the pics into my PC

Here are the steps to transfer your digital files from the Optimus DV-3040 Camcorder to your computer:

  1. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the USB connector on the digital video camera.
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Turn on the camera and the computer. The [USB MODE] screen appears on the camera’s LCD monitor.
  4. Select [MASS STORAGE] with the zoom lever, and press the O button.
  5. From the Windows desktop, double click on "My Computer".
  6. Look for a new "Removable disk" icon. This "Removable disk" is actually the memory or memory card in your digital video camera.
  7. Double click on the removable disk and locate the DCIM, MP3 and AUDIO folders. Select the files that you want, and then choose “Copy” from the “Edit” menu. Open the destination location (folder) and choose “Paste” from the “Edit” menu. You may also drag and drop image files from the digital video camera to a desired location.

USB MASS STORAGE?

Go to your "my computer" icon on the computer and you should be able to see all available drives on the computer. Your camera should appear as an external hard drive. You can open the drive and then open the files in the drive. Simply click and drag the files from the camera to your video folder on your main hard drive and you are good to go. Windows Media player should play the videos....or use an editing software like power dvd.
