How can I hook my Magnavox MWD7006 player up to a entertainment system. So far sound is playing in Stereo (3 speaker) format instead of (six speaker) format or Db5.1. Any ideas? I used a s-video cable to connect.

It seems your "power regulator" a small unit inside tv device has damaged due to wrong power supply. In this case usually the power capacitor burns and few other electronic components like triodes. Get the help of a electronic chip technician to replace the damaged components.
