turn off water to washer remove cold water hose at washer. there should be a screen in the valve that needs cleaned. should pull out with a small screwdriver or pliers. wash out and re install. you may deform it removing it but it will reshape with your fingers.be sure not to run washer without screens or could ruin valve and it won't shut off. also flush out fill hose before hooking it back up.
it sounds like the hot water supply hose on the back inlet water valve is not opening up,to check it switch the hoses, cold on hot,and hot on cold, put the washer on fill cold,if hot water comes out you know it's the water valve-mike
you need to replace the water inlet valve on back of washer as the cold water side is not opening,it's easy, remove the 2 top head screws, flip the head up,use a screw driver to pop the 2 clips out(1 on each side top),unplug the wire jack, now pull the back, back so you can get to the valve-mike
turn off water valves at wall, disconnect the supply hoses from the washer. where the hoses connect to the washer, there is usually a stainless steel screen/strainer inline on both the hot and cold inlet. corrosion on the cold side is pretty common. Menards, Lowes Home Depot stores sell the replacment screeens.
it will switch from hot to cold and back and forth trying to regulate the temp. You probrbly have more pressure in your cold water line than your hot or vise versa. This will cause it to seem to pulse. Dave www.washermd.com
first be sure you are getting a good flow of cold as far as the washer connection..if so ck inside washer connection for a small wire screen be sure it's not plugged if so clean and flish line to remove anything inside hose ..be sure to put screen back in ..if still no cold suspect bad cold section of valve..replace valve..last remote possibility temp switch is bad
its in your cold water line valve to the washer if it works good with hot water the valve are incoming line being blocked when you turn it on the pressure comes in fast then when pressure is gone water slows down so when its off the pressure builds back up it runs fast then slow
