Power light blinking on nv53a gateway

Your Gateway laptop comes with a series of LED lights that alert you to the state of your computer. You'll notice there are blue, purple and red lights that either blink or display solidly. Each light, blinking or solid, has a different meaning. The blue blinking light on your laptop indicates that it is in Standby mode. Your laptop goes into Standby when you close its lid without shutting down the computer. To turn this light off, you'll need to take the computer out of Standby mode, and if you want to ensure that the blinking blue light does not return, shut down the computer after each use.

Open the lid of your Gateway laptop and press the power button. Once Windows loads, enter your password if required. The blue light will no longer be blinking because the computer is no longer in Standby mode. Shut the laptop off when you finish using it rather than simply closing the lid to stop the blue light from blinking again. Click "Start" from your Windows desktop and click "Shut down." Change your computer's power settings to keep if from going into Standby mode when you close the lid if you'd rather not shut down your computer every time you use it. Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" and then click "Power Options." Click "Choose what closing the lid does" from the list of options on the left side of the window. Select "Hibernate" from the drop-down lists under "On Battery" and "Plugged In." Click "Save Changes." Your laptop will now bypass Standby mode when you close the lid and it will enter Hibernate mode instead. Hope it helps.

Toshiba Laptop L650-12Q will not shut down

Windows needs to be shut down properly to keep it stable, if hibernate mode is being used it eventually corrupt windows causing all kinds of symptoms, I recommend you make a backup recovery disc, and disable the hibernate feature to prevent complete window failure.

Unable to connect to any network/internet after recovering the OS system

No! you probably don't have the driver for your modem, go into device manager and see if the modem is listed, if not, the driver was not installed for some reason, but if you find it is listed, right click on it to make sure it is enabled.

It might have corrupted your harddirve - If you can't get back into Windows, then you'll probably need to reinstall the setup disk or determine the recovery process of your particular computer - there is a key sequence to access the recovery partition of the harddrive before Window boots up. Consult with your user manual.

Toshiba A215-S4767 will not start up correctly.

First off, Windows just didn't like the way the computer shut off, I would just restart normally and see what happens. Next when it boots up and you get into windows, Go to the control panel > Power Options > go to the hibernation tab and make sure hibernation is unchecked. Next go the setting that reads "shutting the lid". You want to open this setting with a drop down list and pick "Do Nothing", this will keep the laptop from entering standby mode just for shutting the lid. Laptops do not like hibernation or standby modes....windows hates it and will give you all kinds of problems if you continue to use it.

How to log off

If you log off you only close your user session under windows, not turn off the computer.

If you suspend you turn off almost everything in the laptop like hardwire, cd or dvdrom and most peripherals but the computer stays on the consuming power.

If you hibernate what windows does is to store all in memory in a temporary file in the hard drive and turn off all the computer so when you turn it on again it will be as you last session with all your programs and documents you left open.

And if you turn off the computer it will close all your programs, close windows and turn off all the hardware.

Windows intenert is stoping

Is your problem "windows close" or laptop shutting down when you on the internet or just working on the windows?

First, could be virus or software issue.
Second, could be memory issue.

Closing Multiple Windows

Are you using internet explorer?

Internet explorer is unable to handle many windows open at the same time.

My suggestion is to use Mozilla Firefox which can be downloaded for free which is safer and has much fewer errors than IE. Please update me on the situation and what internet browser you are using and I will work with you until the problem is fixed.
