Here's what is going on - the mm50 speakers were made in 2005, before iPod decided to release third generation, fourth generation, and fifth generation players. The product specs for the mm50 might have said it was compatible with an "iPod classic" or an iPod "Nano" - but they were referring to an earlier generation of player. These Logitech speakers/dock just isn't compatible with 2006-2008 iPods.

Reset the ipod and run the Recovery Tool like the user manual suggests - the full manual is available at Apple's website.

If it is still possible, return the Logitech speakers.

I have my tascam bb-1000cd and a wireless mic into record and there is a speaker icon with a slash across it

A speaker icon with a slash across it = your speaker is on MUTE. Try to turn the sound volume up or if you have a MUTE button on the device, press on it to UNMUTE the speaker.

Craig wireless portable speaker cma3561 won't charge battery

Batteries are holding back the 21st century. I have the older model of this and my battery went bad very fast. Now I have to keep it plugged in and not just any usb port will work it has to be a usb power supply of at least 2 amps. I keep mine in a 2100mA usb source.

I charged a small sony pocket e reader, and tried to turn it on, it was slow, not really knowing what was going on I kept trying. teh light going from green to red, to amber to now nothing and I can't...

Hi nellvandenel,

Looks like the reader is missing charge. You can try these steps:

1. Connect the reader to the computer
2. While Reader is connected, hit the "Reset" button at the bottom of the reader
3. Check if a red steady light comes on, if not, try the reset again
4. Leave the reader connected for 15-30 minutes to allow it to charge
5. Disconnect the reader and check if is operational now

What does the little electrical bolt symbol mean?

this is obviously a power or connectivity issue, check that the device ( your ipod ) is correctly seated into the logitech speaker system, and check the power cables are connected according to the manual which came with the logitech speaker system.
question u may ask yourself? - does the ipod work as it should on its own? (without non-apple devices/components attached to it) - if it doesnt - take to an apple store or call or seek apple support.
it sounds like your ipod is low on power from source.
i hope this directs you in the right direction, party on!

Charge

Charging the Player
The player needs to be charged before it can be used and every time
the battery gets low. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the
Player. Once fully charged, the Player lasts approximately 8 hours.
To charge the Player:
Remove the USB cover on the Player.
Connect the Player to the PC using the Flash Plug.
The Player will begin charging. The battery indicator should begin
to flash, alternating red and green.
Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will stay red.
Note: If this is the first time the Player is connected, wait until
Windows detects the Player and follow the prompts to install it.

Archos 604 wifi sound problem.

Mine is the same it's just not a great speaker you can get "Portable Speakers for Generation 4 portable video" I don't have it so I can't say how good it is.
You can plug in speakers that use the same headphone size and if they have a built in amp and are battery powered then your get good sound.
