If that function was put in use by the previous owner, the fastest way to change the parental lock out would be to contact your friend and get the access code from them.
Since the set probably uses a bit of flash memory to store the access code and other settings, if an individual chip, that would have to be physically removed and replaced.
If you can locate service information on your set, it will likely contain a procedure to set the memory back to factory default.

Need code for AT2704S Apex DIGITAL

Your Apex TV is locked by someway. To unlock it,
Apex TVs have parental locks that allow you to block certain programs based on
their rating. When this feature is no longer needed and you want your TV to display all programming no matter its rating, you must unlock your TV. Unlocking your Apex TV is done completely from your remote control and does not require any tools. The process takes less than 5 minutes.
• Press the "Menu" button on the remote control and use the arrow buttons to scroll down to the "Parental Guide" option, then press the "Enter" button.
Type in the default parental code "6688" if you have not set your own code. If you have set your own code, type it in. If you set your own code and forgot it, override it by using "6688."
Use the arrow keys to switch the parental lock to "OFF." This allows all programs to be viewed no matter the rating. Press the "Exit" button on the remote and start watching all your channels.

How to disable TV-G

Press the Menu button on your remote.Scroll through the menu to the smart lock feature. The access code will be 0711 unless it has been changed. If this is not the correct code or you lost the code just unplug the unit for about 30 seconds. The 0711 code will then work. You can then chose to turn the Master Block off or change your blocked rating settings.

Turning parental control blocks off

Parental locks are put in place to stop minors from accessing usuitable programs. An adult usually selects the channels to lock out as well as categories of videos that can be played. Thesae are controlled by a code neterd by the Parent or Giuardian and cannot be subverted without knowing the code. I am tempted to say.... ask your parents for permission to unlock this. We cannot supply any information without proof of age here.

With this model also there are no secret codes listed to over ride an entered password as its not a regular brand of TV. maybe the people you bought it from ( Walmart?) may be able to contact the supplier who rebadged this unit, to help you overcome the problem

Sorry we cant be of more help for you. Please accept our apologies

Thank you for using FIXYA

Can not remove parental block on TV - can not remove parental block on Symphonic TV

Notes (for TV RATING and MPAA RATING):
● You cannot access the setup menu when the
“PROTECTED PROGRAM by ...” message
appears. Move to an unblocked channel
before you hit [MENU].
● When you select a rating and set it to
[BLOCK], the higher ratings will be blocked
automatically. The lower ratings will be
available for viewing.
● When you set the lowest rating to [VIEW],
all other ratings will automatically be available
for viewing.
you have forgotten the code, unplug the power cord
for 10 seconds to restore the access code to
0000.

HOW CAN I GET PROTECTED PROGRAM TV-PG OFF MY TV?

This problem is caused by your TV's V-chip setting.

To fix the problem:

Push the "Menu" button (on either the remote or the TV's fromt panel).
Use the "Channel Down" button to go to "V-CHIP SETUP"
Use the "Volume Up" button to select it.
In the V-chip setup screen, the rating that is selected by the user as viewable will allow that rating and only lower ratings to be viewed on that TV. (If TV-G) is selected, then any programs rated higher than TV-G will be blocked.

So, the easistway to get rid of any blocking is to set the rating to TV-MA (mature), and then any and all programs will be viewable on that set. Select "TV-MA" by hitting the "Volume Up" button after you have scrolled down to that rating with the "Channel Down" button.

Then hit "Menu" to exit out of the settings and saave your changes.
