Hi. My Bosch WTL 5500 wont start. It has power and filters are clean. When you push start the dry light comes on and nothing happens. Any ideas?

there is a thermal reset button at the back of the unit on the heating element. to get to it you have to remove the back panel that covers the heating element. (its the panel that sticks out). Once that panel is removed you will see the red thermal reset button. press it so it clicks, then start unit. Let me know what happens.

Dryer check filter light keeps blinking and dryer will not start cleaned lint filter and nothing happened display on control board blinks when dryer is turned on and that's about it can you assist dyer...

I had the same problem, Check Filter light blinking and beeping, could not select drying type or start dryer. Short story, turned out to be the Less time button was stuck pushed in. Long story, a week before I had replaced the drum rollers and belt, everything was working fine for the week after then this problem. Totally by accident, after trying all the recommended actions (unplugging, pushing buttons, etc.) leaning on the right front corner would stop the beeping and allow the machine to work. Pushing all the buttons, I found the Less time button would not click. Apparently, when I took the control panel off to change the rollers and belt I flexed the control panel enough to misaligne the button and switch. Pulling the back of the control panel loose and making sure the push button and switch were aligned and working correctly everything works fine now.

I have a Gas Dryer that will not start, I have cleaned the lint filter and all of the area around the filter, the machine still will not start and the lint filter light luminates when you push the start...

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting. Here is a website that should help:

I don't know how to use my whirlpool dryer

Add clothes, close door securely, make sure it latches, select a cycle (timed dry, permanent press, etc.) select a heat setting ( low heat, high heat, or air) a push the start button. You will also want to make sure the lint filter is cleaned between each load. The lint filter will be either on the top of the machine under a little door or inside the machine at the bottom of the front.

My ASKO T702C dryer just stopped working. It starts but after 5 mins it just turns off. Any suggestions?

Try opening the bottom vent panel and pulling out the filter box (there are directions and handles)... hold the filter under running hot water for a while and you should see all this nasty stuff come out. Worked for me!

Control Panel turns off

HI,
The PCB unit ie the control panel circuit board has gone bad. The probable cause of the same is moisture on the board.

Thanks

IT READS tEl in the timing area

tEI means that the thermistor has failed and needs to be replaced.  The filter light always comes on as reminder to check the filter before starting.  That cannot be changed.

Bosch Dryer lint filer warning

The Bosch Dryer has a temperature probe in the heater exit and in the exhaust area visible when you open the door. If the temperature difference between the two gets to high, the lint filter is assumed to be plugged and the alarm goes off.

It seems that the temperature probe at the heater, can end up with a faulty connection to the control panel over time due to corroded contacts or lint build up. When this happens the control panel thinks the filter is clogged and it may also not turn on the heating elements properly. Remove the back cover over the heating element (12 screws) and then remove the one screw holding the red wiring connection to the dryer body. You can then wiggle out the wiring connection and clean / unplug and replug in the connector for the sensor. (plug with two small wires only). A little hard feeding the connector back through the hole so take your time and don't damage the wires). Should all work again. May want to inspect inside the heater at same time and make sure the overheating switch is not tripped. ( press in the red button).
