My samsung hl-t4675s makes a static type of noise when its on and even if you hit mute that awful noise is still there. any ideas as to what it would be

Hi, what do you mean by static noise. Is your station unclear. Does this only happen on the cable coax connection or is it a loud noise. If its a loud noise then its your colorwheel if its an unclear station or channel then more then likely its your main input board. Please let me know if that helps any.

samsung color weel replacments are all the new air bearing type insted of fluid type. if you replace the new color weel , color will look bad. also note when ordering your replacment make shure it comes from samsung and not just a generic model.
the original replacement will come with a set of instroction to reset the dmv ajustments.
find the dmd pcb and look for a2 jumper that is visable through a small squaire remove the jumper. then folow instrustions with new color weel.

Here is the steps that I will suggest you to check.
Mute the sound completely and make sure sound is not coming from speakers. If you totally concluded that sound is not coming from speakers probably its from internal coils on the circuit or high voltage cable leaks statical electricity. that case asking assistance a qualified hands on technician will be best idea.
