Question about Audio Players & Recorders
The red "protect" light is on and now I have no sound for CD or microphone
All I can give you is a confirmation on the fact that something has gone wrong with the head.
Be sure to do both tests. Sometimes it can be a short in the speaker side of things that blew the head up in the first place. Checking they are OK before plugging in your newly repaired head saves you from doing the whole exercise over again.
I am more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about it, please get back to me here, or use the ASK function to go straight to me :) If you are still unsure, have problems, or we need to look at the situation more deeply, then before you give a rating for this advice, hit the ASK button Thanks for using FixYa, If you consider the advice I have given you as sound, a FixYa rating is a great reward for my efforts to help you. Cheers.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
