This TV has been in use for 2 years. None of the cables have been changed or removed. Apparently hit a button on the remote that blanked the picture & sound. I have a gray screen with menu options, but cannot get any of them to function. I think I need to be led through setup from the very beginning.

TV screen went black, sound is intact, can I fix it?

This sounds like you accidentally hit the input button on your remote. It will either be INPUT or SOURCE on you remote. Turn on your TV and source(cable box) and hit one of those buttons until your picture comes back

How to change the inpute setting om my flexvision tv

Should be a button on your remote labeled input or source. If it does not it could have buttons with icons/lettering on them with a tv or spelled out tv, HDMI, input 1...2...etc. If none of these apply it can be done by hitting the Menu button, going to the video section and select input you would like. This can also be done with the menu button on your tv.

White flickering line across top of tv with non HD channels

It appears that when you go back to normal tv from hdtv you are able to see the overscan area. Change the aspect of your image with the appropriate button on your Vizio remote and or cable remote. Apparently the button that changes the aspect on the Vizio remote is the wide button. The cable remotes will usually have hd zoom (#), aspect or format.

Thanks but i need more help

Don't be panic.
Check the batteries of your remotes control. FIRST
Be sure to aim the control to the sensor of your tv.

Usually you have one remote for your tv and the other to control the cable box or digital box.

You have to set the RMC10 again using the code of your tv Silvania (like the first time)
Then set your tv on channel 3

Another thing, be sure that you are hitting the right buttons.
The control doesn't work if you hit on the top any key instead of cable
What i mean?

The remote has on the top 4 key usually (tv, cable, vcr, aux, etc).
You must hit first cable to set the control to cable

1, Manually turn on the device(TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
2. Press and hold the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the code search button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, ect.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the Channel up button repeatedly(up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press channel down button to backtrack through the library until device changes channel. Pressing Channel up changes direction forward again.
5. Press and release Mute to install code.
