Yep, I changed the plug and fuel too, still the same problem, damn thing won't start.

Same deal, changed gas, plug, air filter, fuel filter - blew out all the fuel lines and the best it will do is rough idle in the highest run position.

So I know this is a really old thread but in the event someone is still having issues, I was having the same issue (still use mine today) and figured out through trial and error what the problem was. After multiple Carb rebuilds and spark plug changes, fuel filter changes, I finally figured out why my blower would run if cold but after 5 or 10 minutes it would begin idling rough and then die. the Ignition Coil is (from the factory) only about a half mm from the flywheel and when the blower would heat up, the expansion of the flywheel would cause it to begin slightly touching the ignition coil. Eventually it caused the coil to go bad and wouldn't start at all. When I changed the coil, I figured this out because there were scratches on the fly wheel where it was intermittently rubbing. I set the coil about 1.25 mm from the flywheel and now it runs better than ever. Hope this helps.

Dirt devil easylite 7.2 v does not hold charge. Can you suggest any fix? Thanks

Sorry to say that the batteries seem to be worn out. Usually this is caused by using it for to short a time each time you use it. Batteries develop a 'memory' after several short time uses, and can only be charged the time it 'Thinks' is a full charge. You can try running it until it almost stops. Then let it sit for about an hour turned off, then turn it on again, and run it till it almost stops. After doing that put it on the charger for 8 hours. Then run it until it almost stops again. then charge it again. That process sometimes breaks the memory problem. If not, you need new batteries- or a new dirt devil.

My dyson DC 59 Motorhead works fine for a period of time then just quits. The run time seems unusually short and does not slowly lose power but stops abruptly. What is the problem?

Modern lithium Ion rechargeable batteries don't slow down as they discharge, they run full appliance and then just boom they are dead. You need a new battery

I have a Lindhaus powerhead MOD.PB12e SN123463. The powerhead turns on and the roller starts turning but after a couple of seconds it starts sounding like something is not letting the roller turn properly...

A common problem is for hair to get wrapped around and forced into the end bearings which causes the motor to work harder or drive belt to slip. Cleaning the hair out can be a short term fix but new bearings might be needed. It's also a good idea to replace the drive belt at the same time as the slipping belt is probably not going to perform well even with new bearings.

DC07 stops after short time using and will not start until it has rested for a while. Is it running out of steam like it's owner?

You could try washing the blue filter. This happened to mine and when I washed the filter according to instructions I found on the Dyson website it was fine!

Rainbow stops shortly after starting to vacuum

There is a thermal fuse on the motor field that sometimes fails. Sometimes the fuse does what it is supposed to do - prevents motor from overheating.
Causes:
a) Improperly worn motor brushes
b) bad motor bearings (that usually leads to uneven motor brush wear)
c) very dirty cooling air filter

To access filter and the motor - use small flat screwdriver to remove clear side panels. You will see 4 or 6 Phillips screws. Remove screws - cap will come off.

Good Luck,
Rocky

Problem starting

This can happen if you have an intermittent short in your cord. Try plugging it in and then wiggling the cord around where it goes into the body of the vacuum with the switch set to "on." (If you're not sure whether it's on or off, just click it back and forth occasionally.)
If the motor kicks on there's a short, which usually requires a cord replacement. If that's the case, it's a relatively simple fix for most dyson models.
If not, you could have a short in your switch or somewhere else in the electrical system of the machine.

Kenmore mod #116 33922300 Serial #D33502445 machine runs-sucks- but brush does not turn. How do I fix this? Thanks Lenny

Could be a problem with a switch, or the brush roll motor. You can go to sears.com, click on the parts link, enter you model number, you will have options to chose what you want to look at, then you get a parts list and picture breakdown, which may help you to find the problem.
