Question about LG KU990 Viewty
I am having the most irritating problem. I Love my LG Viety but I can not connect to my Lap top!!
I have tried most things people have suggested on these websites with no luck. I can not connect using my USB cable whilst in "Mass Storage" mode as the phone tells me I need to insert a memory card. And when I try to connect to the PC Suite in "Data" and try to "sync" my phone it says
Contacts : Synchronise ( Outlook Express )
Initialize connection with Outlook Express (I)
Fail to connect to the phone,
Please check the COM port and connect in idle screen.
There are no applications running in the background of my phone so this is not the problem, I just dont know what is!!! Any ideas at all how i can get pictures from my phone to my lap top?? HELP im stressed!
Firstly You Need To Go In To Phone Settings Then Down To Connectivity Then You Go To USB Connection Mode Switch To Mass Storage.
Then Put Your USB Lead In. Let The Computer Install The Drivers Wait A Few Minutes.
Then Removable Disk J (Normaly J If Not It Will Another One) Then Auto Play Will Pop Up And Your Able To Get To All The Stuff On Your Phone

Had same problem saying "Fail to connect to the phone,
Please check the COM port and connect in idle screen."
Make sure that the screen is not locked whilst trying to connect to the PC. Apparently it is an old Nokia software re-jigged, so when the screen is locked it doesn't work. Worked for me anyway!

The same thing happened to me try to press on contents and watch the screen of ur phone it will tell you something like cannot execute conflict with audio player so stop the audio player and voilla

After reading ur problem ,what u told, check ur com port from lg phone manager,usually port no. 3 is used(also i useing com port3)
other reason is also that ur laptop usb port is infected by some type of virus,so format ur laptop or reinstall ur laptop drivers & then try
