there is no support tab under local area connection status
    packets: sent=427 received=0
    ipv4/v6 connectivity is limited
    media state is enabled

thanks for your referral this may take some time to read thru. there is a detail that may be helpful to solve this:
my internet isp connection is wireless via an usb2.0 port on my 64bit vista ultimate 64bit os computer; the netgear wireless router wan port is connected via the computer's 1gbps lan port; yet there is yet no way to login to nor find yet the gateway address. if the work around is simpler because of this detail let me know otherwise i'll continue with this monday night. thanks

Go into the control to see your network connections.

find you network connection. Press the right mouse button and select status. Press the support tab and look at the default gateway address.

Type that address in using internet explorer. Type in the user Id and password to the router and you should be in

That setup is different. Press the windows button on the lower left of the screen and look for your network. On top of the screen are three icons. Press the center one and see if that will get you in.

usually the gateway is created in the network section. You might want to look at the botom of the network screen for an icon that says gateway on it. Click on it and that should get you in.

Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1

Need password for wireless router netgear wgr614 need password to set up wireless i pod

The default login is user = 'admin' and password = 'password' for the router. Only type what is between the quotes. If you changed and forgot your password, there is a reset button on the unit. Press the button until the power light flickers (about 10 seconds). You should now be able to get in using the default login.

Netgear wireless router wgr614?

If you cannot login to the router's configuration URL, then you can reset the Netgear back to the factory defaults by powering up the router and press the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router until the LEDs turn on, then release the RESET button and wait for the router to reboot.
Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the router open an Internet Browser and enter the router's configuration URL
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default password = password.
You can now configure the wireless settings, Eg. SSID, encryption etc.

Having trouble accessing router with ipod touch and nintindo dsi

Hi,

In order to Unlock Netgear router you need to know the login password for router's login page and if that does not work, you can try with a default username : admin, Password : admin, still if you are unable to access the routers page then you need to reset the router by inserting a pin in the pinhole where it says reset at the back of the router...press and hold down the pin for 30 seconds and then restart the router, this will take the router back to default settings and then apply username : admin and password : admin....it should work

Netgear address : 192.168.0.1 ( Type in IE address bar to access it )

Regards,
Anup

Sorry but to give you complete details is not something that I or anyone can take the time. Go to netgear.com and look in their support section, lookup your router and download the manual. latest firmware is available there as well, there is no drivers for a router.
