Run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool. This tool will generate a summary of your computer's settings and system details that will aid the support team in the troubleshooting process.
- Click the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool link.
- Click Run when prompted.
- Click Continue. The tool will scan your computer and display your results.
- Click Copy to copy your results to the clipboard.
Open Microsoft Help and Support to determine what type of technical support is available in your area.
If you choose email support, follow the prompts in order to submit your support request. Note that you may be prompted to download an ActiveX control. This is not required and you may continue without installing this control.
- Enter your contact information.
- Enter the following information in the Problem Description text box:
  - Paste the information copied from the diagnostic tool in Step 1 above. To do this, right-click in the text box and choose Paste.
  - If you have additional details or comments for the support team, type them at the end of the same text box.
  - If possible, also include the Product Key found on your Windows Certificate of Authenticity (COA). The product key can often assist our support engineers in quickly determining the cause of your validation issue.
- Fill in any additional information requested on the page and click Submit. Your request will be routed to the Microsoft Genuine Advantage technical support team. You will receive a confirmation number via e-mail that you can save for future reference.

friend u have to reinstall the operating software from a orginal CD. your Os is not a valid one.

Yes. you are using a Pirate or Fake Windows XP copy. That is illegal. Now you must download a software called "WGA remover for xp". Download and install it. Thats it.

Incase you are a victim of counterfeit product of Microsoft then :-

Purchase a valid Windows XP cd-key online from Microsoft.
If you can produce high-quality counterfeit media, along with a proof of purchase, you can get a free replacement key from Microsoft.
Contact your reseller for redress.
Purchase Windows XP from a local OEM reseller.
Purchase Windows XP at a retail location.

Notice the word "Purchase" appears in three of those five options. There's almost no way to finagle a free cd-key out of this.
Counterfeit software can come from a number of sources. It's important to use a reputable reseller when purchasing software or PCs that come with software.
And, now the good part :-
Microsoft also offers several options to help victims of counterfeit software obtain a legal copy of Windows, including a complimentary offer for victims who were deceived into buying highy quality counterfeit copies
To help customers who unknowingly purchased a counterfeit version of Windows XP, Microsoft has created two genuine Windows offers for those who qualify:

Complimentary offer: Microsoft will make a complimentary copy of Windows XP available to customers who have been sold counterfeit Windows. That message ("you may be a victim of software counterfeiting") is displayed when your Windows serial number is being used by someone else. If your copy of Windows is legitimate, try contacting Microsoft support.
