Kenmore HD gas dryer won't heat up

I have a kenmore Heavy duty gas dryer, model 110 87821100.  It will not open the gas valve to heat up.  The igniter glows orange but the valve for the gas doesn't open to send the gas to the igniter.  It has the 2 valve gas valve. Is it the valve that has crapped out or would it be a sensor problem? Tim
