Free driver for Toshiba USB FDD PA3109U-1FDD

I found this

There is no specific driver for this drive. You can use a generic driver, I've done it before but cannot recall the exact driver used. It was either a Teac or NEC driver. You must select the driver manually in the device manager and it seems like an odd selection but it does work. If I can locate any additional info I'll update this answer.

How can I connect an internal FDD to a computer whose Floppy connector is larger than the FDD cable connector?

What is floppy disks .and how its working.amd what is its usesatll m urgent.ok

Old PC and Laptop used to have software and device driver delivered on low capacity (usually 1.44MB 3.5 in) 'Floppy' disk diskette (FDD):

'A floppy disk is a data storage medium that is composed of a disk of thin, flexible ("floppy") magnetic storage medium sealed in a square or rectangular plastic carrier lined with fabric that removes dust particles'.

Newer machines usually will not come with FDD drive as we now use CD or DVD or even external USB stick/storage instead. If a FDD is required, you can get an external USB connected FDD as a standard FDD drive will require the support of a specific FDD adapter.

Hope it clarify your question.

I want to convert to usb drive a model pa2669u fdd . are there any converting cables for this? thanks joe shimchick

Thats looks like a proprietary connector, you will not find a cable that will convert that fdd to USB, sorry :|
Anyway I doubt the cable would be much cheaper than a new USB external FDD.

Instructions needed to use a Toshiba USB FDD kit to work.

yeas a device driver is a peice of software. it basicly tells your computer what device you've attached and what it does.. if you know the manufacture and model number you can normally type that in google follwed by driver and will give you a list of sources to download it from... you will never have to pay for a driver as it is free from the manufacturer normally on a cd that comes with the device... if you have windows xp or later windows should automaticly recognise it and set it up for you.. it will then appear in you my computer section as a new drive
Not finding what you are looking for?
