Question about Sony Walkman Sport Series NW-S205F MP3 Player

1 Answer

Formatting problem i have had the mp3 player for a while and it has been fine, but the other day it froze up. so i pressed the reset button and when it started. it said no media libary found etc, wasnt a too bothered by this since i thought i could put the tracks back on it. but when i tried to do this it said that i had to delete all the tracks when i try to do this it comes up with a message could not delete all tracks error code 000066d7 and i even tried to format it from my computer but that doesnt even work.what can i do? or is it just broke? My computer works with SonicStage fine enough compared to other peoples description but I cannot load songs to my MP3 player, I own a NW-E005. It says I have an unstable connection but when I move it to a diff. USB port it says the same. Try to delete the songs and it gives me the error no matter how many times I try it. I wanted to upload some music to my mp3 Player, which told me that it wouldnt update unless i erase everything on my drive. Well, so i did. It just didnt finish the job an I get the error code: 000066d7 all the time. Windows Vista (Dont no the exact version, its the first time i work with vista and its all in spanish) SonicStage Vers.: 4.3.01.14050

This one is not compatible with Vista - it might work sometimes, but not others - if Sony's website doesn't have an upgrade to make it Vista compatible (I don't believe they do, but you should check), I'm afraid this player has seen the end of it's days - because it sounds like you tried everything else that I would have suggested.

Dropped two days ago, seemed fine. all of a sudden started freaking out. screen looks like TV static, then freezes on start up screen.

Hi,

I suggest you to backup all the songs in the Walkman Player to the Computer and Format the Player.

Connect the Player to the Computer to charge it until FULL message is displayed.

Reset the Walkman Player. To reset it by pressing the RESET button with a small pin or similar object. You can also Format the Player if the Format option is available by accessing the Home Menu.

To Format the Player; press and hold the BACK/HOME button, select Settings-->Common Settings-->Format-->YES.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. If the memory is formatted, all files including the Operation Guide (If applicable to your model) stored in the player will be deleted. Be sure to verify the files stored in memory prior to formatting and export necessary files to the hard disk of your computer or other device.

Once the Format completes, reset the Player by pressing the Reset button located at the bottom of the Player using a sharp pointed object. Now you can transfer the required songs and files to the Player using the supplied Software or by dragging and dropping the songs through Windows Explorer. This will resolve the issue.

Good Luck!

My Transcend T.sonic 610 MP3 Player battery is fine it is 3V but still the system is not switching on. I conncted to my PC things were fine. I had to change the PC so removed the MP3 Player and connected...

Hi
To resolve this issue, format the player using the computer. Also scan the player for any viruses using antivirus program. Even after performing the format the issue is not resolved then you would need to press the Reset button to restore it to its default settings. The reset program will erase all of the settings on the T.sonic. The reset button is on the right side of player. Keep that button pressed for at least 5-10 seconds.
Hope this helps...

If you can try to open the files on your computer by search files option, then opne them and save the lot to a secured folder. Then completely format the device, erasing all the date stored. reset teh device once again and now put back antivirus scanned files back from your PC saved folder. Please check all the files for any error befroe you reload. I hope this will help you out. Good day

My Zen will not do anything,it's froze.

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Transcend tsonic 850 freezing up

If your MP3 player still has warranty, take it back to the store or get it repair. Try to avg scan all the files on your MP3 player and your laptop as well. There might be a possible virus or a corrupted file that is causing your T.Sonic to froze.
