Try to run your liveupdate then restart your pc. if this still happens, try to download intelligent updater here.

look for the one that is compatible with your norton and after downloading it, run it and then restart your computer. this should fix your problem.

Windows Security Center alert ?

The fake Windows Security Center is a virus that invades a computer and threatens the user that his computer is infected with multiple viruses. Although this "tool" looks legitimate, it is actually rogue malware. It can be time-consuming to remove this fake Windows Security Center from your computer, but you can do it for free.

Download and install a legitimate free anti-malware program, such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (malwarebytes.org), on your computer. Restart your computer and hold down the "F8" key for a few seconds before the Windows logo appears to start the computer in safe mode. Run the anti-malware program and allow it to perform a full scan of your system. This may take hours, depending on a number of factors, but allow the anti-malware software to do its job so that you will be able to fully remove fake Windows Security Center from your computer. http://www.malwarebytes.org/ rather than pay for it http://corbitek-antimalware.soft32.com/free-download Free reliable antimalware solution with realtime protection and automatic update Click to put a check mark next to all of the malware files detected in the scan and click "Delete." Download and install CCleaner (piriform.com/ccleaner). http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner This free program will scan and clean out all temporary files on your computer. Run the program, and when it finishes, your computer should be free from the fake Windows Security Center. Restart your computer to exit safe mode.

Did you check your browser's cookies? Maybe they are not deactivated. You can easily change this: start Explorer/Firefox/ Safari/etc. click on Extras/Internet options/Data protection (or Options/Accept cookies for Firefox/Safari) and drag the regulator to "medium" (for Safari click: "always"). Before you try logging in again you should restart your browser.

In addition, a firewall/proxy/router could prevent your PC from establishing a stable connection, so they need to be switched off.

Security Internet Explorer

These days online threats usually fall into two categories:

  • Attacks on you
  • Attacks on your computer
Browse privately. If you want to help protect yourself from fraud when you use a public computer, it's a good idea to erase your tracks. InPrivate Browsing tells Internet Explorer not to record or save your browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and user names and passwords. For more information, see Internet Explorer 8: Browse privately. The newest version of Internet Explorer helps protect you from both of these threats.

This extension is a must for anyone who has set their browser to automatically delete all cookies when they close their browser. Using just the browser settings you are able to delete all traditional cookies. However, many sites now use "Super Cookies" which are Local Shared Objects (LSO). These are files typically installed by a flash-plugin and are stored with your local system files. These cookies are never deleted.BetterPrivacy
