Question about Televison & Video
The first thing you should try is unplug the unit from the power source open the case and using compressed air to blow out the unit, then take some cu tips lightly dipped in alcohol and clean the optical lens, the tray, around the spindle and gears and keep alternating this 4-5 times compressed air / cu tips. 2. With a small flashlight look the best you can and see if there is any hair, dirt, dust, etc around the spindle 3. Plug your system back in and see if this helps. 4. If this does not help then I am sorry to say the possible causes could be the spindle control board or the tray needs alignment or in a worse case scenario the optical reader needs replaced (which will cost a lot of money and is not really worth fixing unless you find a deal on it) The others are relatively inexpensive to repair, but will require you to take it to a shop where they have the proper tools to accomplish this. Hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance.
