Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

3 Answers

I have a Sharoer Image iTower speaker for my iPod. Mine was working great in the morning and then in the afternoon didn't. When the power is connected, I get a patterned beating sound of what I'm playing, and the LED light on the power unit flashes in rhythm with the choppy sound. When I unplug the power unit, the LED light is solid. I just got this iTower in the last 4 weeks and love it. Sharper Image is no longer supporting any products due to it's closing. The instruction manual is pretty simple with no guidelines for troubleshooting or resetting. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?

Hi markminter

Sounds like you have an ailing power supply there. check that all connections are well plugged in, other than that, it would appear to have gone faulty. I would suggest returning it and getting a refund. Best bet for this situation.

I dropped my iPod in laundry soap last night. :l It functions properly but the external speakers don't play at all, but when I use headphones they do. Advice?

The unit must be dried and cleaned , washed out before it is used as it can cause further corrosion to the board and in time spoil the unit.

How much to fix ipod touch screen and where

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you receive this. You want to know how much to fix the touch screen and where to fix it? I want this solution to benefit you as much as possible. Having to pay for someone to fix your iPod touch screen should be your last result. I'm tell you some options you can try that may save you a few dollars and having someone to fix the iPod touch screen. I don't if this is the problem, but the touch screen may be locked. Automatically, the iPod touch locks when there has been no activity for a certain amount of time. To unlock the touch screen, press and hold the Home button or the On/Off/Sleep/Wake button which is located at the top of your device, and then drag the slider. If you want to set the amount of time before Auto-Lock activates, press Settings, General, Auto-Lock; then set your preferred time. If that doesn't fix the problem, you can try a system reset. To do this, press and hold the Home and On/Off/Sleep/Wake buttons together for approximately 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on your screen. If this doesn't work, you can take your iPod Touch to your local Apple Retail store and have an Apple technician work on it for you. There will be a fee for diagnostic services. You can also contact Apple Technical Support or Online Service Assistant. For more contact information, go to this website (http://www.apple.com/support/contact/). I hope the problem is just a screen lock up and if you have to get a repair or replacement, it won't burn a hole in your pocket. Thank you for choosing FixYa as your one-stop solution spot for your problems and requests. Have a good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post.

The internal speakers on my ipod touch don't work

As far as I know, the sound quality coming out of the ipod is not so great to begin with. I have an iPod touch, and the speaker I have right now was only $12.59 and the sound quality is great. plus I have my headphones from UxSight. They are amazing. Here is the link: iPod speakers

Ipod touch speakers wont work

You may need to reset
To reset the iPhone or iPod Touch, press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously at the same time for at least ten seconds, then the LCD display will clear and the Apple logo appears on the black background. When Apple logo appears, reset is done.

Ipod shut off and wont do nothing

I took mine in today, its been doing the same thing for about the past month. Intermittently working. It will cut off and not respond for periods of time, then work normally, then cut off again. I took it to best buy, the geek squad "restored" it. And it did no good. It has done it twice since I was there this afternoon. Once for about 2 hours, and another time only about 15 minutes. --I'm not happy.--

My MP3 is stuck on initalizing

If it get **** on initalizing you can hold the power button for 15 to 20 seconds and it should work. If that don't work plug it into the usb and then 3 mins later take it out and try to boot it up again. Let me know if that helps. Mine did the same thing.

My ipod wont turn on!

Try restarting your iPod while it's still on the charger. Hold the middle button and the menu button down for about 7 seconds (maybe a little longer). This should fix the problem.
