HAVE A SANDISK CRUZER 1 GB FLASH DRIVE THAT I RECENTLY COPIED SOME MUSIC FROM ANOTHER PC. PLUGGED IT INTO MY LAPTOP & THE DEVICE LIGHTS UP BUT WON'T RESPOND. TAKE DEVICE BACK TO SAME PC & WORKS WELL.FRIEND HAS SAME TYPE OF DEVICE. PLUGS INTO MY LAPTOP,WORKS FINE.

Reformat the drive then it should be fine.
