Insert: You press this key to toggle either overwrite mode or insert mode when you are typing documents. In overwrite mode, the characters will be replaced where your cursor is in the middle of a sentence and in insert mode, the characters will be added.
PRT SC: Short for print screen. You press this and the computer will take a snapshot of your computer's screen and copy it to the clipboard. Then you can open up paint or word and press CTRL-V to paste that snapshot of your screen as a picture in your document.
HOME: Takes your cursor to the very beginning of a document in a word processor.
SCROLL: Toggles the scroll function in a document.
PG UP: Moves the document you are looking at up a page.
PAUSE: Will pause a list being sent to your screen from the command window.
DELETE: Will delete whatever you have highlighted on your screen
SYS RQ: Check your notebook's information for this.
END: Will take your cursor to the end of the current line, paragraph, or document.
NUM LK: will turn on the numberlock function, allowing you to use the right side ofyour keyboard like a numberpad.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

How do i use the boxed options on certain keys?

Prt SC (Print Screen) does NOT send the screen to the printer!!
If your windows desktop is showing, Print Screen will capture the ENTIRE screen to the clipboard - Open Paint and Ctrl-V to paste the captured image into paint (or other graphics program).
If you want to capture only the active screen, use Alt-Prt Sc and do the same with it.

Is there a print screen key on my compaq laptop?

Yor notebook has Print Screen key. I would like to share that, to copy screen using you may need to follow the below steps:

1. Press Prt Sc key in combination with Fn key(Fn + Prt Sc).
2. Open the Paint program. On the edit tab, select paste.

For your convenience I am providing the hints to make the image smaller, press control w, and change the top two resize boxes to 80% in both the horizontal and the vertical box. Hit enter. This will resize the image to a size that is convenient to use for email attachments or as inserts in document projects.

I am sure that the above information helps. If you need any further assistance or clarifications, please feel free to reply to this mail. We would be delighted to assist you. I would like to share that, to copy screen using you may need to follow the below steps:

I have a HP laptop I like to printscrren couple of page How can I do it please !

On a laptop, the print screen button is designated by "prt sc" or "prt scn" -- look for a button in the upper right portion of your keyboard. You will need to press and hold the the Function (usually "fn") key then tap (press and release) the button with the designation for print screen on it. This takes a "snapshot" of whatever is on your entire screen and temporarily saves it to the clipboard (like a "copy" does when you copy and paste something). If you wish to just capture the active window, hold the Function key, hold the alt key, then tap the print screen key. This only works on some laptops, not all. The easiest way to get to the picture you just created is to open the program Paint. Once open, press and hold ctrl (control) and tap "v" - this will paste the snapshot of the screen or window. You can crop, circle things, etc in Paint, then save the file or print it.

My HP Pavillion DV6000 will not print screen (Screen Capture)

Why don't you just highlight what you want to print, place the curser over that and right click choosing copy. Go to the email that you are sending, put the curser where you want it, and right click again choosing paste. Works every time.
