Battery wont charge

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My kodac easy share c180 wont turn on

This kind of issue might happen. Remove the battery from the came and then press&hold the power button of the camera for 30 seconds.... Put the battery back and then try to turn it back on.......Hope u are sure that the battery has enough charge. If the step does not work try some other alkaline or lithium batteries if possible.

Batteries are always dead

You need to get some decent rechargeable batteries unfortunately standard batteries are just not good enough and lose their charge very quickly not to mention end up costing you a small fortune to replace.

I recommend NiMH 2500mah recharageable batteries or better (i use Energizer). Makes sure you have another 2 sets full charged and ready to go so you dont get caught out when out and about.

If this helps, please vote...thanks and good luck!

Kodak Easy Share z712 IS not detecting charged battery

I have the exact same camera almost a year too. It is a total "swinka" on batteries. About 10-15 shots on super ni-cads, and quits without warning.

A pair of Energizer 7X gave me near 500 shots. Much cheaper but still ...

So 4 months ago I bought a charger and 2 rechargeables. Charge one while using the other one.
I may get 70-90 shots per charge on these lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, without flash.

Testing the batteries without a load doesn't really tell you anything.
What's the reading? Should be well over 4 volts when fully charged. Mine show 4.2V

Kodak easy share c 340

try taking out the batteries, and clean the connectors that the batteries touch, and the ends of the batteries (if recharagable). Sometimes a dirty connector can make the batteries seem that they are dead even if they are rechargable. If the camera works with new disposable batteries but not with the rechargable ones, then you may need to purchase some new rechargable ones.
