My machine will not finish a cycle and just stays filled with water.

It sounds as though you either have a clog in the drainage system of the machine, or a bad drain pump.

In spin cycle, water sometimes does not drain at all; other times the clothes are wet, other times the spin cycle works fine. Problen can be rectified by placing the washer into spin cycle a few times.

when on spin check to see if you can hear a low whirring noise {the pump} if the machine is not pumping or not pumping fast enough for sufficient water to drain out of the machine then the machine will not spin due to having to much water in. i would also check to see if all filters on the waste water output are clear of any foreign bodies as this will reduce the speed of which the water is pumped out of the machine{some machines have 2 filters } good luck

My tricity bendix tb 1000w started failing to spin the clothes after washing (but would spin when put on the spin only cycle for a while but now wont spin at all) it does not drain the water either now any...

Hi Richie. Your machine (in fact any machine) won't spin if theres water inside the drum (the pressure switch makes it impossible). Sounds like you have a blockage on the waste pump. If there's a filter at the fron, get as much water as possible out the machine, get a few towels and then open the filter. If there's no filter, pull the machine out, tilt it on its back a look for the waste pump (the part that links to the waste hose). Clear any blockage.
If after you removed stuff out of the waste pump, if it still not spinning, then it will be the motor brushes. Remove one and check for wear (if its below 1cm then they need changing, they are normally 5 to 6 cm long).
Cheers

Problems after getting fluff in machine

Behind the little door is the filter which will be full of this stuff.
Just unscrew and take it out to clean.

Spin cycle problem

These problems can be tricky to the novice, what you have to keep in mind is that if one of the sensor flags an error the whole washing cycle will stop

In your case I would make sure that the waste water output is completely clear of buttons, hairs and toys.

You should also check the filter section (if available) on the waste water output, this catches any coins
