What connector does the monitor have? Do you just need a converter?

Soyo monitor out of range

You have changed the resolution or refresh rate to a value that the monitor cannot support. This can be a problem to reset since you cannot see the monitor to correct the issue. Reboot into SAFE MODE (F8) key and change the resolution to a value that the monitor can support.

I need to buy a new monitor. What kind of monitor will it support, GA, DVI, HDMI ? Thanks.

You should go for a Widescreen LCD ro LED monitor. They all support VGA and DVI. If you get a Full HD screen then it will have a HDMI connection also. Just make sure your Display card can handle it.

Says that it is out of range 75hrz

Your graphix card are trying to output a 75hrz picture, while your monitor probably does not support more than 60 etc. Most LCD's today only support 60, while earlier CRT's often supported 75 etc.

Have you changed your monitor lately? If so, change it back, go to where you change monitor resolution. Then you will probably have to choose advanced settings, and monitor or something like that to find where to lower the hrz. Need to know your Os to say exactly how.

My control panel will not allow me to change my monitor settings it is greyed out

your monitor cannot support in higher resulotion maybe plug & play your monitor during installation. Try install the proper monitor driver so that you can change higher resolution if not working maybe your monitor to old and can't support higher resulotion anymore

Looking for new computer that will support 4 monitors.

i may be wron but i'm not aware of any standard pc that will support 4 monitors. I used to run two monitors when i used my pc for djing on but that was down to the garphics card, many better spec cards will support dual monitor output. You could try getting 2 graphics cards that support dual monitors ans running them in SLi mode, that would give you 4 monitor outputs. Have you checked the Nvidia website? it's possible they have software that would support multi monitors.

Monitor not supported

Well the monitor not being support is not the issue. the issue is the video card cannot produce a signal that is supported for the monitor. Its doing this to let you know also to lower your resolution because the monitor will pop if the resolutions is to high. the monitor itself does not matter if you had Vista as lond as the monitor agree with the signal your cool if it don't it will do this. Try lowing the res using another monitor then put the orginal back on and you should be good.

Thanks

Dell monitor p971 driver win vista

(I assume you have this monitor from your old computer as dell doesn't ship it anymore ) P971 is a CRT monitor and comparatively very old dell does not have vista compatible driver for these monitors at all.
Click on the link and you can find the list of the monitors for which dell ships the vista compatible drivers
