Check filter which is hidden away. disconnect electricity.take bottom panel off at back and you will see a large diameter hose going from bottom of machine to pump. undo this hose at the machine end and the filter is inside. pull out and clean
be warned - water will come out so make sure it doesn't go all over motor

Try pulling out the soap / softener drawer completely from the Machine and thorough cleaning all the parts. The little siphon plastic pipes get blocked and cause this on my Hotpoint.

Control Module problem?

It sounds like the pump or drain hose is blocked by something, and if the water does not drain away it will not spin properly.
The last resort would be the control module which is about one hundred and fifteen pounds, so check everything else first.

Hotpoint WMA66 starts to fill but instead of beginning to agitate it begins to spin for a second or two and then drains!

Sounds like a tacho fault. Could be you have a broken wire on the motor circuit. Tilt the machine back and take a look underneath at the wires leading to the motor. This is just to give you an idea if it is a broken wire, you shouln't try to repair it like this, you would need to remove the front panel to allow yourself enough space to affect a repair. For a workshop manual on the WMA66 which would give additional help and advice on dismantling and rebuilding as well as fault finding click on the link.

Hotpoint Ultima WMA66. It goes thru the wash cycle but doesn't drain to go on to rinse/spin. It continues to turn and when the timer run's out it just stop's and is still full of water. Any ideas??

This must be a European model. If it wil not spin and water will not go out it has to be something stuck in the drain pump. You shoud have access through the bottom panel. If you have one remove it you should see drain pump.

Sounds like the PCB is Freaking out. All you can do is Check all the connections between the Main board and Display board and if you still have the problem - then i'm afraid it is probably the Main Board gone Faulty.

Softner still in the draw

The detergent/softner dispenser is located above the detergent drawer. A water pipe is connected to it and water entrance and distribution to drawer's cells (following the programmed cycle)are done by a lever's movement (part of the dispenser). The lever movement is controlled by two solenoids that received their power from the timer. By opening upper machine's cover you will have an access to the dispenser. Disconnect the power cable from the machine before moving to next step !!!! Look first that they are not any disconnected wires. Move manually dispenser's lever and see if water running to all cells (depend on your movement). In case it doesn't work properly remove the unit from the machine and try to clean it (I hope it will help, otherwise you should replace the unit). In case it works properly (manually) - you should test with a multi-tester solenoid's resistance. the one that doesn't have a resistance measurement should be replaced. Good luck !!
