It shows that your Security Settings have blocked your Phone. To resolve this, you should take your Mobile Phone to the Service Center with Original Purchase Bill.

Nokia N 70 - Error - 'Sim Card Rejected'

Hi,

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.

Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.

Please call your service provider or go to service provider office, they will assist you in this issue. And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only. Then they will assit you.

Thanx

My phone gives an error ( PHONE RESTRICTED) only on some sim cards plz helpme

You phone is set to "Sim Lock" which means only one sim card will work with it. You need to unlock using Software or you can try factory reset by going to the Settings in the phone menu, press up key once and press Ok and then enter 12345 or any other if you've changed any security Code before. Good luck.

I was looking around in the phone when it said sim card locked

The phone is stating sim locked beause the phone had a pin code that was entered incorrectly too many times then the phone asked for a puk code (pin unblock key) and this was entered incorrectly so for security reasons it locked the sim card to protect it your services from being used. You will need to purchase a new sim card for a fee and replace your current sim card.

Unlock security code for nokia 6030

This means that your phone was set to 'lock upon sim change'. You would have to insert the old sim card and go to your security settings and change this, then you can use your new sim card.

Security code N 73

What do you mean by Security code.

SIM pin code:
This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even
if your sim is put into another handset. To reset it, you need the PUK code:
Pin Unlock Code (PUK)
If you miss key (or forget) your SIM pin code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the SIM will lock up, and you’ll need to enter the PUK unlock code to release it. You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled.
Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:
Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times.
Which is the one that you want?
Special Code/Service Provider Lock Code:
This code is required to allow a phone locked to a particular network's SIM cards to be used with a SIM card from another network. Orange and T-mobile lock handsets in this way, though O2 and Vodafone are beginning to lock PAYG and WAP handsets. The unlock code varies from individual handset to handset.
Blacklisting:
This is not a security code, but it works like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks.
This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled.
Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone!
-----------------------------
The default security code for Nokia is 12345
IMEI: 356406017443168
Master code: 5335036136
Take your SIM card out first.

This is the code needed to reset the Security code, nothing else, and it’s for your phone only. You type in the security codes (anything) until the phone request the Master code; when it does, leave your phone still, don’t use it for 15 minutes, then type in the Master code.

6288 security code problem

The security code has nothing to do with your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

It may be asking for a security code. That is a 5 digit number.
Put the original SIM in the phone, in tools/settings/phone/security, turn off phone security code.
You should be able to use your phone with any SIM card now.

SIM lock and PHONE lock are different and do a different job.

SIM locks the card, to prevent anyone else having access to your personal details, stored on the card.

Phone locks the phone, to prevent anyone else using it with another SIM card.

To reset it go to your service provider and they will do it for you, free of charge.
