SOURCE: vibration

I had a technician out who said it is the nylon wheels - when it's cold outside the dryer drum is cold - once you start the drryer ( I know it's very loud) the wheels warm up and quiet down - you can order new wheels I think - different material.

SOURCE: loud rumble sound, Vent hose vibration

That model of neptune dryer had a problem with the blower housings cracking. When the housing cracks, it binds forward into the blower wheel making a loud "rumble" noise and vibration. If you open the door and manually turn the drum and you hear a rubbing noise and feel alot of resistance, then you have a cracked blower housing and need to replace it. It is not an easy job to replace, so if your not familiar with dryers, you should have a technician replace it. Let me know if you have any further questions. shane

SOURCE: loud vibrating noise. Sounds like its coming from

Most of the time the banging noise is a result of one of the drum rollers that for what ever reason was locked onto the roller shaft and the roller got a flat spot on it. This failure sounds like a thunder / thumping sound. However... if the rear drum seal has failed you will hear a metal to metal grinding sound. One other failure is that of the idler pulley where the bearing wears out and the pulley wobbles from side to side OR the whole pulley and idler shaft rotate in the idler arm assy.

All of the above failures make noises that are not normal.

If you pass a make and model number by replying here, I can probably pass you a link of the suspected failed parts and at least 1 source for the replacement parts.

What is cause of loud vibration noise

Hi,
In most cases, vibration sounds come from which ever helps the drum to spin with no resistance, In most cases those would be drum support wheels or bearings depending on the model.
In some rare cases, blower or belt pulley could also cause similar symptoms.

When the dryer is on it makes a loud clunking sound during each rotation

Check to see if something was left in a pocket when dried and fell out. like a coin, a magnet, a wrench. Often, things fall out of pockets and make a loud clunking sound when the drier is turned on.
